Verse 16

But all Israel and Judah loved David; for he went out and came in before them.

1 Sam 18:5 : 5 And David went out whithersoever Saul sent him, [and] behaved himself wisely: and Saul set him over the men of war, and it was good in the sight of all the people, and also in the sight of Saul's servants.
2 Sam 5:2 : 2 In times past, when Saul was king over us, it was thou that leddest out and broughtest in Israel: and Jehovah said to thee, Thou shalt be shepherd of my people Israel, and thou shalt be prince over Israel.
1 Kgs 3:7 : 7 And now, O Jehovah my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child; I know not how to go out or come in.
Luke 19:48 : 48 and they could not find what they might do; for the people all hung upon him, listening.
