This is what Cyrus, king of Persia, says: 'The LORD, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and He has appointed me to build Him a temple in Jerusalem, in Judah.'

Whoever among you belongs to His people, may their God be with them, and let them go up to Jerusalem, in Judah, and build the temple of the LORD, the God of Israel. He is the God who is in Jerusalem.

And let every survivor, wherever they may reside, be supported by the people of that place with silver, gold, goods, and livestock, along with their voluntary offerings for the house of God in Jerusalem.

Then the family heads of Judah and Benjamin, the priests, and the Levites—everyone whose spirit God had stirred—rose to go up and rebuild the house of the LORD in Jerusalem.

Their neighbors supported them with silver articles, gold, goods, livestock, and choice gifts, in addition to all the freewill offerings.

King Cyrus also brought out the articles belonging to the house of the LORD, which Nebuchadnezzar had taken from Jerusalem and had placed in the house of his gods.

Cyrus, king of Persia, brought them out under the oversight of Mithredath, the treasurer, who counted them out to Sheshbazzar, the prince of Judah.

Thirty gold bowls, four hundred and ten silver bowls of a second type, and one thousand other articles.

The total number of gold and silver articles was five thousand four hundred. All these Sheshbazzar brought up when the exiles were brought up from Babylon to Jerusalem.
