Verse 13

Greater love has no man than this, that a man gives up his life for his friends.

John 10:11 : 11 I am the good keeper of sheep: the good keeper gives his life for the sheep.
Eph 5:2 : 2 And be living in love, even as Christ had love for you, and gave himself up for us, an offering to God for a perfume of a sweet smell.
John 10:15 : 15 Even as the Father has knowledge of me and I of the Father; and I am giving my life for the sheep.
Rom 5:6-8 : 6 For when we were still without strength, at the right time Christ gave his life for evil-doers. 7 Now it is hard for anyone to give his life even for an upright man, though it might be that for a good man someone would give his life. 8 But God has made clear his love to us, in that, when we were still sinners, Christ gave his life for us.
1 John 4:7-9 : 7 My loved ones, let us have love for one another: because love is of God, and everyone who has love is a child of God and has knowledge of God. 8 He who has no love has no knowledge of God, because God is love. 9 And the love of God was made clear to us when he sent his only Son into the world so that we might have life through him. 10 And this is love, not that we had love for God, but that he had love for us, and sent his Son to be an offering for our sins. 11 My loved ones, if God had such love for us, it is right for us to have love for one another.
