Verse 16

But when they came up from Egypt, Israel went through the waste land to the Red Sea and came to Kadesh;

Num 14:25 : 25 Now the Amalekites and the Canaanites are in the valley; tomorrow, turning round, go into the waste land by the way to the Red Sea.
Deut 1:40 : 40 But as for you, go back, journeying into the waste land by the way of the Red Sea.
Num 20:1 : 1 In the first month all the children of Israel came into the waste land of Zin, and put up their tents in Kadesh; there death came to Miriam, and they put her body to rest in the earth.
