- 2 Cor 1:3-7 : 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles so that we may be able to comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. 5 For just as the sufferings of Christ overflow into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows. 6 If we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces patient endurance of the same sufferings we also endure. 7 And our hope for you is steadfast, because we know that as you share in our sufferings, you also share in our comfort.
- 2 Cor 4:8-9 : 8 We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 10 We always carry in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be displayed in our body. 11 For we who live are always being given over to death for Jesus' sake, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our mortal bodies. 12 So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.

But she kept insisting that it was so. Then they said, 'It must be his angel.' 16 Peter, however, kept knocking, and when they opened the door and saw him, they were amazed. 17 Motioning to them with his hand to be silent, he described how the Lord had brought him out of the prison.
