I say, 'My purpose will stand, and I will accomplish all that I desire.' 11 I call a bird of prey from the east, a man to fulfill My purpose from a distant land. I have spoken, and I will bring it to pass. I have planned it, and I will make it happen.
- Ezek 34:11-31 : 11 For this is what the Lord GOD says: 'Behold, I Myself will search for My flock and look after them. 12 As a shepherd looks after his scattered sheep when he is with them, so I will look after My flock. I will rescue them from all the places where they were scattered on a day of clouds and darkness. 13 I will bring them out from the nations, gather them from the countries, and bring them to their own land. I will shepherd them on the mountains of Israel, in the valleys, and in all the inhabited places of the land. 14 I will feed them in good pasture, and their grazing land will be on the high mountains of Israel. There they will lie down in a pleasant grazing land and feed in rich pastures on the mountains of Israel. 15 I Myself will tend My flock and cause them to lie down, declares the Lord GOD. 16 I will seek the lost, bring back the scattered, bind up the injured, and strengthen the weak. But the fat and the strong I will destroy—I will shepherd them with justice. 17 As for you, My flock, this is what the Lord GOD says: Behold, I will judge between one sheep and another, between the rams and the male goats. 18 Is it not enough for you to feed on the good pastures? Must you also trample the rest of your pastures with your feet? Is it not enough for you to drink the clear water? Must you also muddy the rest with your feet? 19 Must My flock feed on what you have trampled and drink what you have muddied with your feet? 20 Therefore, this is what the Lord GOD says to them: Behold, I Myself will judge between the fat sheep and the lean sheep. 21 Because you push with your side and shoulder, and butt all the weak sheep with your horns until you have scattered them far and wide, 22 I will save My flock so they will no longer be prey. I will judge between one sheep and another. 23 I will place over them one shepherd, My servant David, and he will tend them; he will tend them and be their shepherd. 24 I, the LORD, will be their God, and My servant David will be a prince among them. I, the LORD, have spoken. 25 I will make a covenant of peace with them and rid the land of wild animals, so they may live securely in the wilderness and sleep in the forests. 26 I will make them and the areas surrounding My hill a blessing. I will send down showers in their season—showers of blessing will come. 27 The trees of the field will yield their fruit, and the land will produce its crops. They will live securely on their land and know that I am the LORD when I break the bars of their yoke and rescue them from the hands of those who enslaved them. 28 They will no longer be prey for the nations, and the beasts of the earth will not devour them. They will live securely, and no one will make them afraid. 29 I will provide them with a land renowned for its crops, and they will no longer be victims of famine in the land or bear the disgrace of the nations. 30 Then they will know that I, the LORD their God, am with them, and that they are My people—the house of Israel, declares the Lord GOD. 31 You are My sheep, the sheep of My pasture, and I am your God, declares the Lord GOD.
- Jer 3:12-19 : 12 Go, proclaim these words toward the north: 'Return, faithless Israel,' declares the LORD. 'I will not look on you with anger, for I am faithful,' declares the LORD, 'and I will not be angry forever. 13 Only acknowledge your guilt—that you have rebelled against the LORD your God, scattered your favors to strangers under every spreading tree, and have not obeyed my voice,' declares the LORD. 14 Return, faithless children,' declares the LORD, 'for I am your master. I will take you—one from a city and two from a family—and bring you to Zion. 15 Then I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will lead you with knowledge and understanding. 16 And when you have multiplied and increased in the land in those days,' declares the LORD, 'people will no longer say, “The ark of the covenant of the LORD.” It will not come to mind or be remembered, nor will it be missed or made again. 17 At that time they will call Jerusalem the Throne of the LORD, and all the nations will gather in Jerusalem to honor the name of the LORD. They will no longer follow the stubbornness of their evil hearts. 18 In those days, the people of Judah and the people of Israel will come together; they will come from a land in the north to the land I gave your ancestors as an inheritance. 19 I myself said, “How gladly would I treat you like my children and give you a desirable land, the most beautiful inheritance of any nation.” I thought you would call me 'Father' and not turn away from following me.
- Jer 31:1-9 : 1 At that time, declares the LORD, I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they will be my people. 2 This is what the LORD says: The people who survived the sword found grace in the wilderness as Israel journeyed to find rest. 3 The LORD appeared to me from far away, saying: I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore, I have drawn you with lovingkindness. 4 I will build you up again, and you will be rebuilt, O virgin Israel. Again, you will take up your tambourines and go out in joyful dancing. 5 You will plant vineyards again on the hills of Samaria; the planters will plant them and enjoy their fruit. 6 For there will be a day when the watchmen call out on the hills of Ephraim, saying: Arise, let us go up to Zion, to the LORD our God. 7 For this is what the LORD says: Sing with joy for Jacob, shout for the chief of the nations. Proclaim, give praise, and say: Save, O LORD, your people, the remnant of Israel. 8 Behold, I will bring them from the land of the north and gather them from the farthest parts of the earth. Among them will be the blind and the lame, the pregnant woman and she who is giving birth—all together. They will return as a great company. 9 They will come with weeping, and with pleas for mercy, I will lead them. I will guide them to streams of water on a straight path where they will not stumble, for I have become a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn. 10 Hear the word of the LORD, you nations; declare it in the distant coastlands and say: He who scattered Israel will gather them and watch over them like a shepherd cares for his flock. 11 For the LORD has ransomed Jacob and redeemed him from the hand of one stronger than he. 12 They will come and shout for joy on the heights of Zion, and they will be radiant because of the LORD's bounty—grain, new wine, olive oil, the young of the flocks and herds. They will be like a well-watered garden, and they will no longer languish in sorrow. 13 The young women will rejoice and dance, and the young men and the old together. I will turn their mourning into joy; I will comfort them and give them gladness in place of sorrow. 14 I will satisfy the priests with abundance, and my people will be filled with my goodness, declares the LORD. 15 This is what the LORD says: A voice is heard in Ramah, lamentation and bitter weeping—Rachel weeping for her children, refusing to be comforted because they are no more. 16 This is what the LORD says: Restrain your voice from weeping and your eyes from tears, for your work will be rewarded, declares the LORD. They will return from the land of the enemy. 17 There is hope for your future, declares the LORD, and your children will return to their own land. 18 I have surely heard Ephraim’s lamenting: 'You disciplined me, and I was disciplined, like an untrained calf. Restore me, and I will return, for you are the LORD my God.' 19 After I turned away, I repented; after I came to understand, I struck my thigh in grief. I was ashamed and humiliated because I bore the disgrace of my youth. 20 Is Ephraim my dear son, my precious child? For as often as I speak against him, I still remember him. Therefore, my heart yearns for him; I will surely have mercy on him, declares the LORD. 21 Set up road markers for yourself; make guideposts. Take note of the road, the way by which you traveled. Return, O virgin Israel, return to your towns. 22 How long will you wander, O unfaithful daughter? For the LORD has created something new in the land—a woman will surround a man. 23 This is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: Once again they will say this in the land of Judah and in its cities when I restore their fortunes: 'May the LORD bless you, O dwelling of righteousness, O holy mountain.' 24 People will live together in Judah and all its cities—farmers and those who move with the herds. 25 For I have satisfied the weary soul and replenished every languishing soul. 26 At this I awoke and looked around, and my sleep was pleasant to me. 27 Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of people and the seed of animals. 28 Just as I watched over them to uproot, tear down, demolish, destroy, and bring disaster, so I will watch over them to build and to plant, declares the LORD. 29 In those days, people will no longer say, 'The fathers ate sour grapes, and the children’s teeth were set on edge.' 30 Instead, each will die for their own sin; whoever eats sour grapes, their own teeth will be set on edge. 31 Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah. 32 It will not be like the covenant that I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt—a covenant they broke, though I was a husband to them, declares the LORD. 33 This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the LORD: I will put my law within them and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.
- Hos 14:2-9 : 2 Return, Israel, to the LORD your God, for you have stumbled because of your sins. 3 Take words with you and return to the LORD. Say to him: 'Forgive all our sins and receive us graciously, that we may offer the sacrifice of our lips.' 4 Assyria cannot save us; we will not ride on horses. We will no longer call what we have made with our hands 'our gods.' In you the orphan finds mercy. 5 I will heal their waywardness and love them freely, for my anger has turned away from them. 6 I will be like the dew to Israel; he will blossom like a lily and take root like the cedars of Lebanon. 7 His branches will spread out; his beauty will be like the olive tree, and his fragrance like the cedars of Lebanon. 8 Those who live in his shade will return; they will flourish like grain, blossom like the vine, and their fame will be like the wine of Lebanon. 9 Ephraim, what more have I to do with idols? I will answer him and care for him. I am like a flourishing cypress; your fruit comes from me.
- Joel 2:28-32 : 28 And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions. 29 Even on my male and female servants, I will pour out my Spirit in those days. 30 I will display wonders in the heavens and on the earth: blood, fire, and columns of smoke. 31 The sun will be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the great and awesome day of the LORD comes. 32 And everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved, for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance, as the LORD has said, even among the survivors whom the LORD calls.
- Hos 2:14-23 : 14 I will destroy her vines and fig trees, which she thought were her wages from her lovers. I will turn them into a thicket, and wild animals will devour them. 15 I will punish her for the days she burned incense to Baal, adorned herself with her rings and jewelry, and went after her lovers. But she forgot me, declares the LORD. 16 Therefore, behold, I will allure her, lead her into the wilderness, and speak tenderly to her. 17 From there I will give her vineyards back to her and make the Valley of Achor a door of hope. There she will respond as in the days of her youth, as in the day she came up from the land of Egypt. 18 On that day, declares the LORD, you will call me 'My Husband' and no longer call me 'My Master.' 19 I will remove the names of the Baals from her mouth; their names will no longer be remembered. 20 On that day I will make a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, the birds of the sky, and the creatures that move along the ground. I will abolish the bow, the sword, and war from the land, so that all may lie down in safety. 21 I will betroth you to me forever; I will betroth you in righteousness, justice, lovingkindness, and compassion. 22 I will betroth you to me in faithfulness, and you will know the LORD. 23 On that day, I will answer, declares the LORD. I will answer the heavens, and they will answer the earth.
- Zech 12:5-9 : 5 Then the leaders of Judah will say in their hearts, ‘The inhabitants of Jerusalem are our strength in the Lord Almighty, their God.’ 6 On that day I will make the leaders of Judah like a fire pot in a woodpile and like a flaming torch among sheaves. They will consume all the surrounding peoples on the right and on the left, while Jerusalem will remain secure in her place. 7 The Lord will save the dwellings of Judah first, so that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem will not exceed that of Judah. 8 On that day, the Lord will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem. The weakest among them will be like David, and the house of David will be like God, like the angel of the Lord going before them. 9 On that day, I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. 10 And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on Me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for Him as one mourns for an only child and grieve bitterly for Him as one grieves for a firstborn son.
- Isa 40:1-9 : 1 Comfort, comfort my people, says your God. 2 Speak tenderly to Jerusalem and proclaim to her that her hard service is completed, that her sin has been paid for, for she has received from the Lord's hand double for all her sins. 3 A voice of one calling: In the wilderness prepare the way for the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God. 4 Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain. 5 And the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all humanity together will see it. For the mouth of the Lord has spoken. 6 A voice says, 'Cry out.' And I said, 'What shall I cry?' All people are like grass, and all their faithfulness is like the flowers of the field. 7 The grass withers and the flowers fall, because the breath of the Lord blows on them. Surely the people are like grass. 8 The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever. 9 You who bring good news to Zion, go up on a high mountain. You who bring good news to Jerusalem, lift up your voice with a shout, lift it up, do not be afraid; say to the towns of Judah, 'Here is your God!' 10 See, the Sovereign Lord comes with power, and his arm rules for him. See, his reward is with him, and his recompense accompanies him. 11 He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young. 12 Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, or with the breadth of his hand marked off the heavens? Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket, or weighed the mountains on the scales and the hills in a balance? 13 Who can fathom the Spirit of the Lord, or instruct the Lord as his counselor? 14 Whom did He consult, and who gave Him understanding? Who taught Him the path of justice, or showed Him knowledge, or instructed Him in the way of understanding? 15 Surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are regarded as dust on the scales. He weighs the islands as though they were fine dust. 16 Lebanon is not sufficient for altar fires, nor its animals enough for burnt offerings. 17 Before Him all the nations are as nothing; they are regarded by Him as worthless and less than nothing. 18 To whom, then, will you compare God? What image can you find to resemble Him? 19 As for an idol, a craftsman casts it, and a goldsmith overlays it with gold and fashions silver chains for it. 20 A person who is too poor to afford such an idol selects wood that will not rot; they look for a skilled craftsman to set up an idol that will not topple. 21 Do you not know? Have you not heard? Has it not been told to you from the beginning? Have you not understood since the foundations of the earth? 22 He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to live in. 23 He brings princes to naught and reduces the rulers of this world to nothing. 24 No sooner are they planted, no sooner are they sown, no sooner do they take root in the ground, than He blows on them and they wither, and a whirlwind sweeps them away like chaff. 25 To whom will you compare me? Or who is my equal?” says the Holy One. 26 Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one and calls forth each of them by name. Because of His great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing. 27 Why do you say, Jacob, and complain, Israel, 'My way is hidden from the Lord; my cause is disregarded by my God'? 28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and His understanding no one can fathom. 29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. 30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
- Zeph 3:14-20 : 14 Sing aloud, Daughter Zion; shout, Israel! Rejoice and exult with all your heart, Daughter Jerusalem! 15 The LORD has taken away your judgments; He has turned aside your enemy. The King of Israel, the LORD, is in your midst; you will never again fear disaster. 16 On that day, it will be said to Jerusalem, 'Do not be afraid, Zion; do not let your hands fall limp.' 17 The LORD your God is in your midst—a mighty warrior who saves. He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you with His love; He will exult over you with joyful singing. 18 I will gather those who grieve over the appointed festivals, who were burdened with disgrace because of her. 19 Behold, at that time I will deal with all your oppressors. I will save the lame and gather the scattered. I will make them a praise and a name in every land where they have suffered shame. 20 At that time, I will bring you in; at the time I gather you. For I will make you a name and a praise among all the peoples of the earth, when I restore your fortunes before your very eyes, says the LORD.
- Jer 30:18-22 : 18 This is what the LORD says: Behold, I will restore the fortunes of Jacob’s tents and have compassion on his dwellings; the city will be rebuilt on its ruins, and the palace will stand in its proper place. 19 Out of them will come songs of thanksgiving and the sound of rejoicing. I will increase their numbers, and they will not be decreased; I will honor them, and they will not be despised. 20 Their children will be as they were in former times, and their community will be established before Me. I will punish all who oppress them. 21 Their leader will be one of their own, and their ruler will arise from among them. I will bring him near, and he will approach Me—for who would dare to risk his life to approach Me? declares the LORD. 22 You will be My people, and I will be your God.
- Zech 8:14-15 : 14 For this is what the LORD of Hosts says: Just as I planned to bring disaster upon you when your ancestors angered me, says the LORD of Hosts, and I did not relent, 15 so now I have purposed in these days to do good to Jerusalem and the house of Judah. Do not be afraid.
- Zech 1:6 : 6 But my words and my decrees, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not overtake your ancestors? So they repented and said, 'As the Lord of Hosts planned to do to us, according to our ways and our deeds, so He has done to us.'
- Ezek 39:1-9 : 1 You, son of man, prophesize against Gog, and say, 'This is what the Lord GOD says: Behold, I am against you, Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal.' 2 I will turn you around, lead you astray, and bring you from the remote parts of the north onto the mountains of Israel. 3 I will strike your bow out of your left hand and cause your arrows to fall from your right hand. 4 You will fall upon the mountains of Israel, you and all your armies and the peoples with you. I will give you as food to birds of prey of every kind and to the wild animals of the field. 5 You will fall in the open field, for I have spoken, declares the Lord GOD. 6 I will send fire on Magog and on those who dwell securely on the coastlands. Then they will know that I am the LORD. 7 'I will make my holy name known among my people Israel, and I will no longer allow my holy name to be profaned. Then the nations will know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel.' 8 Behold, it is coming, and it shall be done, declares the Lord GOD. This is the day of which I have spoken. 9 Then those who dwell in the cities of Israel will go out and set fire to and burn the weapons—the shields, the small and large shields, the bows and arrows, the wooden clubs, and the spears. They will use them to make fires for seven years. 10 They will not gather wood from the fields or cut it from the forests, because they will use the weapons as fuel. They will plunder those who plundered them and loot those who looted them, declares the Lord GOD. 11 On that day, I will designate a burial place for Gog in Israel, in the Valley of the Travelers east of the sea. It will block the travelers, and there they will bury Gog and all his hordes, and they will call it the Valley of Hamon-Gog. 12 For seven months the house of Israel will be burying them in order to cleanse the land. 13 All the people of the land will bury them, and the day I am glorified will become renowned for them, declares the Lord GOD. 14 They will appoint men to continually pass through the land to bury the bodies of the remaining travelers who are still on the surface of the land, in order to cleanse it. At the end of the seven months, they will begin their search. 15 As they pass through the land, if someone sees a human bone, they will set up a marker beside it until the buriers bury it in the Valley of Hamon-Gog. 16 And there will also be a city named Hamonah. And they will cleanse the land. 17 Son of man, this is what the Lord GOD says: Speak to every kind of bird and all the wild animals, 'Assemble and come together from all around to my sacrifice that I am offering for you, a great sacrifice on the mountains of Israel, so that you may eat flesh and drink blood.' 18 You shall eat the flesh of mighty men and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, as though they were rams, lambs, goats, and bulls—all fattened animals from Bashan. 19 You will eat fat until you are satisfied and drink blood until you are drunk, from the sacrifice that I have prepared for you. 20 At my table, you will be filled with horses and riders, mighty men and all warriors,' declares the Lord GOD. 21 I will display my glory among the nations, and all the nations will see the judgment I execute and the hand I lay on them. 22 From that day forward, the house of Israel will know that I am the LORD their God. 23 The nations will know that the house of Israel went into exile because of their sin and unfaithfulness, so I hid my face from them and gave them into the hands of their enemies, and they all fell by the sword. 24 I dealt with them according to their uncleanness and their transgressions, and I hid my face from them. 25 Therefore, this is what the Lord GOD says: Now I will restore the fortunes of Jacob and have compassion on the whole house of Israel, and I will be zealous for my holy name. 26 They will forget their shame and all the unfaithfulness they committed against me when they live securely in their land with no one to make them afraid. 27 When I bring them back from the nations and gather them from the lands of their enemies, I will show my holiness through them in the sight of many nations. 28 Then they will know that I am the LORD their God when I send them into exile among the nations and gather them back into their land, leaving none behind. 29 And I will no longer hide my face from them, for I have poured out my Spirit on the house of Israel, declares the Sovereign LORD.
- Hos 3:5 : 5 Afterward the children of Israel will return and seek the Lord their God and David their king. They will come in awe to the Lord and to His goodness in the latter days.
- Zech 9:9-9 : 9 Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout aloud, Daughter Jerusalem! Look, your king is coming to you, righteous and victorious, humble and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey. 10 I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim and the horse from Jerusalem. The battle bow will be broken, and he will proclaim peace to the nations. His dominion will extend from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth. 11 As for you, because of the blood of your covenant, I will release your prisoners from the waterless pit. 12 Return to your stronghold, prisoners of hope. Even today I declare that I will restore to you double. 13 For I have bent Judah as my bow, and I have filled it with Ephraim. I will rouse your sons, Zion, against your sons, Greece, and make you like a warrior’s sword. 14 Then the LORD will appear over them, and His arrow will go forth like lightning. The Sovereign LORD will sound the trumpet and march forth in the storms of the south. 15 The LORD of Hosts will defend them; they will devour and subdue with slingstones. They will drink and roar as with wine; they will be filled like a sacrificial bowl, like the corners of the altar. 16 On that day, the LORD their God will save them as the flock of His people; they will sparkle in His land like jewels in a crown. 17 How beautiful and delightful they will be! Grain will make the young men flourish, and new wine, the young women.
- Mic 7:14-20 : 14 Shepherd your people with your staff, the flock of your inheritance, who live alone in a forest in the midst of Carmel. Let them graze in Bashan and Gilead as they did in days of old. 15 As in the days when you came out of the land of Egypt, I will show them miraculous wonders. 16 The nations will see and be ashamed of all their might. They will put their hands over their mouths, and their ears will become deaf. 17 They will lick the dust like snakes, like creatures that crawl on the ground. They will come trembling from their strongholds; they will dread the LORD our God and stand in awe of You. 18 Who is a God like You, forgiving iniquity and passing over the transgression of the remnant of His inheritance? He does not retain His anger forever, because He delights in steadfast love. 19 He will again have compassion on us; He will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea. 20 You will show faithfulness to Jacob and steadfast love to Abraham, as You promised to our fathers in days of old.
- Rev 14:8-9 : 8 A second angel followed, saying, "Fallen, fallen is Babylon the Great, who made all the nations drink the wine of her passionate immorality." 9 A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice, "If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives its mark on their forehead or on their hand, 10 they too will drink the wine of God's wrath, which has been poured full strength into the cup of His anger. They will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and the Lamb. 11 The smoke of their torment will rise forever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark bearing its name." 12 Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and hold fast to faith in Jesus. 13 Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, "Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on." "Yes," says the Spirit, "they will rest from their labors, for their deeds will follow them." 14 Then I looked, and there was a white cloud, and seated on the cloud was one like a Son of Man, with a golden crown on His head and a sharp sickle in His hand.
- Mic 5:4-7 : 4 And he will be their peace. When Assyria invades our land and marches through our fortresses, we will raise up against them seven shepherds and eight leaders of men. 5 They will rule the land of Assyria with the sword, the land of Nimrod with drawn blades. He will deliver us from Assyria when they invade our land and march across our borders. 6 The remnant of Jacob will be in the midst of many peoples like dew from the LORD, like showers on the grass, which do not wait for man nor depend on the sons of men. 7 The remnant of Jacob will be among the nations, in the midst of many peoples, like a lion among the beasts of the forest, like a young lion among flocks of sheep, which tramples and tears as it goes, and no one can rescue.
- Amos 9:8-9 : 8 'Behold, the eyes of the Lord God are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from the face of the earth. Yet, I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob,' declares the Lord. 9 For behold, I am giving the command, and I will shake the house of Israel among all the nations as one shakes a sieve, but not a single pebble shall fall to the ground. 10 All the sinners of My people will die by the sword, those who say, 'Disaster shall not overtake or confront us.' 11 On that day, I will raise up the fallen booth of David. I will repair its breaches and restore its ruins, and I will rebuild it as it was in days of old. 12 So that they may possess the remnant of Edom and all the nations who are called by My name, declares the Lord who does this. 13 Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when the plowman will overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes the one sowing seed. The mountains will drip with sweet wine, and all the hills will flow with it. 14 I will restore My people Israel from captivity. They will rebuild desolate cities and inhabit them. They will plant vineyards and drink their wine. They will make gardens and eat their fruit. 15 I will plant them upon their land, and they will never again be uprooted from the land I have given them, says the Lord your God.
- Ezek 36:1-9 : 1 And you, son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel and say, 'Mountains of Israel, hear the word of the LORD.' 2 This is what the Lord GOD says: Because the enemy has said of you, ‘Aha! Even the ancient high places have become ours as a possession,’ 3 therefore, prophesy and say, ‘This is what the Lord GOD says: Because they have devastated and surrounded you, making you a possession for the remnants of the nations, and because you have become the object of people’s talk and gossip,’ 4 therefore, mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD. This is what the Lord GOD says to the mountains and hills, to the streams and valleys, to the desolate ruins and the abandoned towns that have been plundered and ridiculed by the surrounding nations: 5 Therefore, this is what the Lord GOD says: Surely in my burning zeal I have spoken against the remnants of the nations and against Edom, who with glee and utter contempt claimed my land as their own possession, plundering its pasturelands. 6 Therefore, prophesy concerning the land of Israel and say to the mountains and hills, to the streams and valleys: ‘This is what the Lord GOD says: I am speaking in my jealous anger because you have endured the scorn of the nations.’ 7 Therefore, this is what the Lord GOD says: 'I have raised my hand in an oath: Surely the nations that surround you will endure their own shame.' 8 But you, mountains of Israel, will yield your branches and bear your fruit for my people Israel, because they are about to come home. 9 For behold, I am on your side; I will turn toward you, and you will be tilled and sown. 10 I will multiply people upon you—the entire house of Israel in its entirety. The cities will be inhabited and the ruins rebuilt. 11 I will increase the number of people and animals on you, and they will be fruitful and multiply. I will make you inhabited as you were in the past and will do even better for you than at the beginning. Then you will know that I am the LORD. 12 I will bring people, my people Israel, to live on you. They will possess you, and you will be their inheritance, and you will no longer bereave them of children. 13 This is what the Lord GOD says: Because people say to you, ‘You devour humans and make your nations childless,’ 14 therefore, you will no longer devour people or make your nations childless,' declares the Lord GOD. 15 I will no longer let you hear the insults of the nations or bear the scorn of the peoples, nor will you cause your nation to stumble anymore, declares the Lord GOD. 16 The word of the LORD came to me, saying: 17 'Son of man, when the house of Israel lived in their own land, they defiled it with their conduct and actions. Their way was as unclean as a woman's impurity in my sight. 18 So I poured out my wrath on them because of the blood they had shed on the land and because they had defiled it with their idols. 19 I scattered them among the nations, and they were dispersed through the lands. I judged them according to their ways and their deeds. 20 And wherever they went among the nations, they profaned my holy name, for it was said about them, 'These are the LORD's people, yet they had to leave his land.' 21 But I had concern for my holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the nations where they had gone. 22 Therefore, say to the house of Israel: 'This is what the Lord GOD says: It is not for your sake that I am about to act, house of Israel, but for the sake of my holy name, which you have profaned among the nations where you have gone. 23 I will sanctify my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, the name you have defiled among them. Then the nations will know that I am the LORD, declares the Lord GOD, when I prove myself holy through you in their sight. 24 I will take you from the nations and gather you from all the lands, and I will bring you back into your own land. 25 I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you. I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. 27 I will put my Spirit within you and cause you to follow my statutes and carefully observe my ordinances. 28 You will dwell in the land I gave to your ancestors; you will be my people, and I will be your God. 29 I will save you from all your uncleannesses. I will summon the grain and make it plentiful, and I will not bring famine upon you. 30 I will increase the fruit of the trees and the crops of the field so that you will no longer endure the reproach of famine among the nations. 31 You will remember your evil ways and your wicked deeds, and you will loathe yourselves for your sins and detestable practices. 32 I am not doing this for your sake, declares the Lord GOD. Be ashamed and humiliated for your conduct, O house of Israel! 33 This is what the Lord GOD says: On the day I cleanse you from all your sins, I will resettle your towns, and the ruins will be rebuilt. 34 The desolate land will be cultivated instead of lying desolate in the sight of everyone who passes by. 35 They will say, 'This land that was desolate has become like the Garden of Eden, and the ruined, desolate, and demolished cities are now fortified and inhabited.' 36 Then the nations that remain around you will know that I, the LORD, have rebuilt what was demolished and replanted what was desolate. I, the LORD, have spoken, and I will do it. 37 This is what the Lord GOD says: I will allow the house of Israel to ask me to do this for them: I will increase their people like a flock.
- Zech 14:20-21 : 20 On that day, the bells of the horses will be inscribed with 'Holy to the Lord,' and the pots in the house of the Lord will be like the sacred bowls in front of the altar. 21 On that day, every pot in Jerusalem and Judah will be holy to the Lord of Hosts. All who come to sacrifice will take some of the pots and cook in them. And there will no longer be any Canaanite in the house of the Lord of Hosts on that day.
