17The seeds rot under their clods; the garners are laid desolate, the barns are broken down; for the grain is withered.
23and, behold, seven ears, withered, thin, [and] blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them:
13If I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;
27The locusts have no king, Yet go they forth all of them by bands;
9I have smitten you with blasting and mildew: the multitude of your gardens and your vineyards and your fig-trees and your olive-trees hath the palmer-worm devoured: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith Jehovah.
12Whilst it is yet in its greenness, [and] not cut down, It withereth before any [other] herb.
1I saw the Lord standing beside the altar: and he said, Smite the capitals, that the thresholds may shake; and break them in pieces on the head of all of them; and I will slay the last of them with the sword: there shall not one of them flee away, and there shall not one of them escape.
2For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, And wither as the green herb.
7But God prepared a worm when the morning rose the next day, and it smote the gourd, that it withered.
4How long shall the land mourn, and the herbs of the whole country wither? for the wickedness of them that dwell therein, the beasts are consumed, and the birds; because they said, He shall not see our latter end.
