23all these evil things proceed from within, and defile the man.

5Ye have lived delicately on the earth, and taken your pleasure; ye have nourished your hearts in a day of slaughter.
4he is puffed up, knowing nothing, but doting about questionings and disputes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
20For I fear, lest by any means, when I come, I should find you not such as I would, and should myself be found of you such as ye would not; lest by any means [there should be] strife, jealousy, wraths, factions, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults;
36What? was it from you that the word of God went forth? or came it unto you alone?
7Be subject therefore unto God; but resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
18Thy way and thy doings have procured these things unto thee; this is thy wickedness; for it is bitter, for it reacheth unto thy heart.
13Come now, ye that say, To-day or to-morrow we will go into this city, and spend a year there, and trade, and get gain:
23but I see a different law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity under the law of sin which is in my members.
4Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin:
8This persuasion [came] not of him that calleth you.
4do ye not make distinctions among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts?
10out of the same mouth cometh forth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
20for the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
12Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey the lusts thereof:
16These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their lusts (and their mouth speaketh great swelling [words] ), showing respect of persons for the sake of advantage.
9Murmur not, brethren, one against another, that ye be not judged: behold, the judge standeth before the doors.
1Forasmuch then as Christ suffered in the flesh, arm ye yourselves also with the same mind; for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
9But they that are minded to be rich fall into a temptation and a snare and many foolish and hurtful lusts, such as drown men in destruction and perdition.
11For it hath been signified unto me concerning you, my brethren, by them [that are of the household] of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.
