How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? Selah.

3 Døm de fattige og farløse, rettferdiggjør de undertrykte og fattige.

Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.

4 Befri de fattige og trengende, redd dem fra de ugudeliges hånd.

Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.

5 De vet ingenting, de skjønner ingenting. De vandrer i mørket. Alle jordens grunnvoller vakler.

They do not know nor do they understand; they wander in darkness. All the foundations of the earth are shaken.

6 Jeg har sagt: 'Dere er guder, sønner av Den Høyeste er dere alle.'

I said, 'You are gods; you are all sons of the Most High.'

7 Men som mennesker skal dere dø, og som en av fyrster skal dere falle.

However, like men, you will die; and like one of the princes, you will fall.

8 Stå opp, Gud, døm jorden! For du skal arve alle folkeslag.

Arise, O God, judge the earth, for You will inherit all the nations.
