1 En salme: Syng en ny sang for Herren, for han har gjort underverker; hans høyre hånd og hans hellige arm har frelst ham.

Sing to the LORD a new song, for He has done marvelous things; His right hand and His holy arm have worked salvation for Him.

2 Herren har gjort sin frelse kjent; for folkenes øyne har han åpenbart sin rettferdighet.

The LORD has made His salvation known and revealed His righteousness to the nations.

3 Han har husket sin barmhjertighet og sin troskap mot Israels hus; alle jordens ender har sett frelsen fra vår Gud.

He has remembered His lovingkindness and faithfulness to the house of Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

4 Rop av glede for Herren, hele jorden; bryt ut med jubel, syng og spill.

Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the earth; break forth with joyful singing and praises.

5 Syng for Herren med lyre, med lyre og med lovsangs klang.

Sing praises to the LORD with the lyre, with the lyre and the sound of song.

6 Med trompeter og lyden av horn, rop av glede for kongen, Herren.

With trumpets and the sound of the ram’s horn, shout joyfully before the LORD, the King.

7 La havet og dets fylde bruse, verden og de som bor i den.

Let the sea and everything in it roar, the world and all who dwell in it.

8 La elvene klappe i hendene, la fjellene juble sammen.

Let the rivers clap their hands, let the mountains sing together with joy.

9 For Herren kommer for å dømme jorden; han vil dømme verden med rettferdighet og folkeslagene med rettvishet.

Before the LORD, for He is coming to judge the earth; He will judge the world with righteousness and the peoples with equity.
