Yet surely my vindication is with the Lord, and my reward is with my God.' 5 And now this is what the Lord says—He who formed me in the womb to be His servant, to bring Jacob back to Him and gather Israel to Himself. For I have been honored in the eyes of the Lord, and my God has been my strength. 6 He says, 'It is too small a thing for you to be my servant to restore the tribes of Jacob and bring back the preserved ones of Israel. • John 5:20-30 : 20 'For the Father loves the Son and shows Him everything that He does. And He will show Him greater works than these, so that you may be amazed.' 21 'Just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whomever He wills.' 22 'For the Father judges no one, but He has entrusted all judgment to the Son.' 23 'So that everyone may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.' 24 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes in the one who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life. 25 Truly, truly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and is now here, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live. 26 For just as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son also to have life in Himself. 27 And He has given Him authority to execute judgment because He is the Son of Man. 28 Do not be amazed at this, for an hour is coming when all who are in their graves will hear His voice. 29 And they will come out: those who have done good will rise to live, and those who have done evil will rise to be condemned. 30 I can do nothing on My own. As I hear, I judge, and My judgment is just because I do not seek My own will but the will of Him who sent Me.

Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head.

But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head; it is the same as if her head were shaved.

For if a woman does not cover her head, she should cut her hair short; but if it is a disgrace for a woman to cut her hair or shave her head, then she should cover her head.

A man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man.

For man was not made from woman, but woman from man.

Neither was man created for woman, but woman for man.

For this reason, a woman ought to have a symbol of authority on her head because of the angels.

Nevertheless, in the Lord, woman is not independent of man, nor is man independent of woman.

For just as woman came from man, so also man is born through woman; but everything comes from God.

Judge for yourselves: Is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered?

Does not even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace to him?

But if a woman has long hair, it is her glory, because her hair is given to her as a covering.

If anyone is inclined to be contentious, we have no such custom, nor do the churches of God.
