Then all the military leaders, Johanan son of Kareah, Jezaniah son of Hoshaiah, and all the people, from the least to the greatest, approached.

8they and their men came to Gedaliah at Mizpah: Ishmael son of Nethaniah, Johanan and Jonathan the sons of Kareah, Seraiah son of Tanhumeth, the sons of Ephai the Netophathite, and Jezaniah son of the Maacathite.
11However, when Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, came up against the land, we said, 'Come, let us go to Jerusalem to escape the army of the Chaldeans and the army of Aram.' So we have lived in Jerusalem.
12Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying:
16Then Johanan son of Kareah and all the army commanders with him took all the remnant of the people whom he had rescued from Ishmael son of Nethaniah after Ishmael had killed Gedaliah son of Ahikam—this included soldiers, women, children, and eunuchs, whom Johanan brought back from Gibeon.
1Shephatiah son of Mattan, Gedaliah son of Pashhur, Jucal son of Shelemiah, and Pashhur son of Malchiah heard the words Jeremiah was speaking to all the people:

1These are the words of the letter that the prophet Jeremiah sent from Jerusalem to the remaining elders of the exile, the priests, the prophets, and all the people whom Nebuchadnezzar had carried into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon.
5Then the prophet Jeremiah responded to the prophet Hananiah in the presence of the priests and all the people standing in the house of the LORD.
11When Johanan son of Kareah and all the army commanders with him heard of all the evil Ishmael son of Nethaniah had done,
14So all the officials sent Jehudi son of Nethaniah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Cushi, to Baruch, saying, "Bring the scroll from which you have read aloud to the people, and come." So Baruch son of Neriah took the scroll in his hand and went to them.
26Then all the people, from the youngest to the oldest, together with the army commanders, arose and fled to Egypt because they were afraid of the Chaldeans.

12But Jeremiah said to all the officials and all the people, 'The LORD sent me to prophesy against this house and this city all the words you have heard.'
13When all the people with Ishmael saw Johanan son of Kareah and all the army commanders with him, they were glad.
14All the people whom Ishmael had taken captive from Mizpah turned around and joined Johanan son of Kareah.
