13Therefore the Lord sayd, Because this people come neere vnto me with their mouth, and honour me with their lips, but haue remooued their heart farre from me, and their feare toward me was taught by the precept of men,
14Therefore behold, I wil againe doe a marueilous worke in this people, euen a marueilous worke, and a wonder: for the wisdome of their wise men shall perish, and the vnderstanding of their prudent men shalbe hid.
15Wo vnto them that seeke deepe to hide their counsell from the Lorde: for their workes are in darkenes, and they say, Who seeth vs? and who knoweth vs?
9Keepe therefore the wordes of this couenant and doe them, that ye may prosper in all that ye shall doe.

5How he established a testimonie in Iaakob, and ordeined a Law in Israel, which he commaunded our fathers, that they shoulde teache their children:
6That the posteritie might knowe it, and the children, which should be borne, should stand vp, and declare it to their children:
8Now therefore in the sight of all Israel the Congregation of the Lorde, and in the audience of our God, keepe and seeke for all the commandements of the Lord your God, that ye may possesse this good lande, and leaue it for an inheritance for your children after you for euer.
14Neither make I this couenant, & this othe with you onely,
15But aswel with him that standeth here with vs this day before the Lord our God, as with him that is not here with vs this day.
28And ye Lord hath rooted them out of their land in anger, and in wrath, and in great indignation, and hath cast them into another land, as appeareth this day.
14But who am I, and what is my people, that we shoulde be able to offer willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee: and of thine owne hand we haue giuen thee.
15For we are stragers before thee, & soiourners, like all our fathers: our dayes are like ye shadowe vpon the earth, & there is none abiding.
16O Lorde our God, all this abundance that we haue prepared to buylde thee an house for thine holy Name, is of thine hand & all is thine.
27But it shall be a witnesse betweene vs and you, and betweene our generations after vs, to execute the seruice of the Lorde before him in our burnt offerings, and in our sacrifices, and in our peace offerings, and that your children should not say to our children in time to come, Ye haue no part in the Lord.
46Then hee said vnto them, Set your heartes vnto all the wordes which I testifie against you this day, that ye may commande them vnto your children, that they may obserue and doo all the wordes of this Lawe.

14Therefore hath the Lord made ready the plague, and brought it vpon vs: for the Lord our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we would not heare his voyce.
24Therefore the Lord hath commanded vs, to doe all these ordinances, and to feare the Lord our God, that it may goe euer well with vs, and that he may preserue vs aliue as at this present.
25Moreouer, this shall be our righteousnes before the Lorde our God, if we take heede to keepe all these commandements, as he hath commanded vs.
22So that the generatio to come, euen your children, that shall rise vp after you, and the stranger, that shall come from a farre lande, shall say, when they shall see the plagues of this lande, and the diseases thereof, wherewith the Lord shall smite it:
19And it shall be with him, and he shall reade therein all daies of his life, that he may learne to feare the Lord his God, & to keepe all ye words of this Lawe, and these ordinances for to doe them:
12That thou shouldest passe into the couenant of the Lord thy God, & into his othe which the Lord thy God maketh with thee this day,
11And the vision of them all is become vnto you, as the wordes of a booke that is sealed vp, which they deliuer to one that can reade, saying, Reade this, I pray thee. Then shall he say, I can not: for it is sealed.
7Surely the Lord God will doe nothing, but he reueileth his secrete vnto his seruantes the Prophets.
8And what nation is so great, that hath ordinances and lawes so righteous, as all this Lawe, which I set before you this day?

13And that their children which haue not knowen it, may heare it, and learne to feare the Lorde your God, as long as ye liue in the lande, whither ye goe ouer Iorden to possesse it.
28Take heede, and heare all these woordes which I commaund thee, that it may goe well with thee, & with thy children after thee for euer, when thou doest that which is good and right in the sight of the Lord thy God.
58That he may bow our heartes vnto him, that we may walke in all his waies, and keepe his commandements, and his statutes, and his lawes, which he commanded our fathers.
38Nowe because of all this we make a sure couenant, and write it, and our princes, our Leuites and our Priestes seale vnto it.

19That thy confidence may be in the Lord, I haue shewed thee this day: thou therefore take heede.
16The heauens, euen the heauens are the Lordes: but he hath giuen the earth to the sonnes of men.
17And he hath cast the lot for them, and his hand hath deuided it vnto them by line: they shal possesse it for euer: from generation to generation shall they dwell in it.
6Keepe them therefore, and doe them; for that is your wisdome, and your vnderstanding in the sight of the people, which shall heare all these ordinances, and shall say, Onely this people is wise, and of vnderstanding, and a great nation.
