1 Syng for Herren en ny sang, for han har gjort underfulle ting; hans høyre hånd og hans hellige arm har gitt ham seier.

2 Herren har gjort sin frelse kjent; hans rettferdighet har han åpenbart for folkeslagene.

The LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.

3 Han har husket sin miskunn og sin trofasthet mot Israels hus; alle verdens ender har sett vår Guds frelse.

He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

4 Rop med glede for Herren, hele jorden; bryt ut i jubel og lovsang.

Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

5 Syng lovsang for Herren med harpe; med harpe og sangens stemme.

Sing unto the LORD with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a alm.

6 Med trompeter og basunlyd, rop med glede for Herren, kongen.

7 La havet bruse og alt som fyller det, verden og de som bor der.

Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

8 La elvene klappe i hendene; la fjellene juble sammen.

9 For Herren, som kommer for å dømme jorden; han skal dømme verden med rettferdighet og folkene med rettvishet.
