And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his descendants shall become a multitude of nations.

20And he blessed them that day, saying, In you shall Israel bless, saying, God make you as Ephraim and as Manasseh: and he set Ephraim before Manasseh.
21And Israel said to Joseph, Behold, I die: but God shall be with you, and bring you again unto the land of your fathers.
10And he told it to his father, and to his brothers: and his father rebuked him, and said to him, What is this dream that you have dreamed? Shall I and your mother and your brothers indeed come to bow down ourselves to you to the earth?
11And his brothers envied him; but his father observed the saying.
4And said to me, Behold, I will make you fruitful, and multiply you, and I will make of you a multitude of people; and will give this land to your descendants after you for an everlasting possession.
5And now your two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, who were born to you in the land of Egypt before I came to you into Egypt, are mine; as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine.
6And your offspring, which you beget after them, shall be yours, and shall be called after the name of their brothers in their inheritance.
26The blessings of your father have prevailed above the blessings of my ancestors to the utmost bounds of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him who was separate from his brothers.
8And Israel beheld Joseph's sons, and said, Who are these?
9And Joseph said to his father, They are my sons, whom God has given me in this place. And he said, Bring them, I pray you, to me, and I will bless them.
2For Judah prevailed above his brothers, and from him came the chief ruler; but the birthright was Joseph's.
3And He said, I am God, the God of your father; do not fear to go down into Egypt, for I will make of you a great nation there.
1And it came to pass after these things, that one told Joseph, Behold, your father is sick: and he took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim.
11And God said to him, I am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be from you, and kings shall come from your body;
29Let people serve you, and nations bow down to you: be lord over your brothers, and let your mother's sons bow down to you: cursed be everyone who curses you, and blessed be he who blesses you.
23And the LORD said to her, Two nations are in your womb, and two peoples shall be separated from your body; and one people shall be stronger than the other, and the older shall serve the younger.
38And he said, My son shall not go down with you; for his brother is dead, and he alone is left: if harm befalls him on the journey in which you go, then you will bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to the grave.
31And Joseph said to his brothers, and to his father's household, I will go up and tell Pharaoh, and say to him, My brothers and my father's house, who were in the land of Canaan, have come to me.
27And your servant my father said to us, You know that my wife bore me two sons:
