And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

Verse 3

Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them.

Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Verse 14

For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and entrusted his goods to them.

For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.

Verse 15

And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to each according to his own ability; and immediately went on his journey.

And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.

And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.

After a long time, the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them.

After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.

Verse 20

And he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them.

His lord said to him, Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things; enter into the joy of your lord.

Verse 24

Then he who had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed.

Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:

Verse 25

And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground; look, there you have what is yours.

But his lord answered and said to him, You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed.

His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:

Verse 27

Therefore, you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming, I would have received my own with interest.

Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.

Verse 28

Therefore take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents.

Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.

Verse 29

For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away.

For I was hungry and you gave me food; I was thirsty and you gave me drink; I was a stranger and you took me in.

Verse 41

Then he will also say to those on the left hand, Depart from me, you cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
