20If yee forsake the Lorde and serue strange gods, then he will returne and bring euill vpon you, and consume you, after that hee hath done you good.
16Then they answered Ioshua, saying, Al that thou hast commaunded vs, we will doe, and whithersoeuer thou sendest vs, we will goe.
17As we obeyed Moses in all things, so will we obey thee: onely the Lorde thy God be with thee, as he was with Moses.

7And the people had serued the Lord al the dayes of Ioshua, & all the dayes of the Elders that outliued Ioshua, which had seene all the great works of the Lord that he did for Israel.
8And they said vnto Ioshua, We are thy seruants. Then Ioshua saide vnto them, Who are ye? And whence come ye?
27And Ioshua saide vnto all the people, Beholde, this stone shall be a witnesse vnto vs: for it hath heard all the wordes of the Lord which he spake with vs: it shall be therefore a witnesse against you, lest yee denie your God.
3Afterwarde Moses came and told the people all the wordes of the Lorde, and all the lawes: and all the people answered with one voyce, and said, All the things which the Lorde hath said, will we doe.
31And Israel serued the Lorde all the daies of Ioshua, and all the daies of the Elders that ouerliued Ioshua, and which had knowen all the workes of the Lord that he had done for Israel.
13But if ye say, We will not dwell in this land, neither heare the voyce of the Lord your God,

7And Ioshua said, Alas, O Lord God, wherefore hast thou brought this people ouer Iorden, to deliuer vs into the hande of the Amorites, and to destroye vs? would God we had bene content to dwell on the other side Iorden.
8Oh Lord, what shal I say, when Israel turne their backes before their enemies?
10Then Ioshua commanded the officers of the people, saying,
19But the people would not heare the voyce of Samuel, but did say, Nay, but there shall be a King ouer vs.
14And he said, Nay, but as a captaine of the host of the Lorde am I nowe come: then Ioshua fel on his face to the earth, and did worship, & saide vnto him, What sayth my Lorde vnto his seruant?
15And the Lord spake vnto Ioshua, saying,
2Then Ioshua said vnto all the people, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Your fathers dwelt beyond the flood in olde time, euen Terah the father of Abraham, and the father of Nachor, and serued other gods.
24Also they saide vnto Ioshua, Surely the Lorde hath deliuered into our handes all the lande: for euen all the inhabitants of the countrey faint because of vs.
25And Ioshua sayd vnto them, Feare not, nor be faint hearted, but be strong and of a good courage: for thus will the Lord doe to all your enemies, against whome ye fight.
8And the Lord sayd vnto Ioshua, Feare them not: for I haue giuen them into thine hand: none of them shall stand against thee.
9Then Ioshua said vnto the children of Israel, Come hither, and heare the wordes of the Lord your God.

20And Samuel said vnto the people, Feare not. (ye haue in deede done all this wickednesse, yet dpeart not from following the Lorde, but serue the Lord with all your heart,
29God forbid, that we should rebell against the Lord, and turne this day away from the Lorde to builde an altar for burnt offering, or for meate offering, or for sacrifice, saue the altar of the Lord our God, that is before his Tabernacle.
35And with whom the Lord had made a couenant, and charged them, saying, Feare none other gods, nor bowe your selues to them, nor serue them, nor sacrifice to them:
7After he tooke the booke of the couenant, and read it in the audience of the people: who said, All that the Lord hath said, we will do, and be obedient.
27And Ioshua appointed them that same day to be hewers of wood, and drawers of water for the Congregation, and for the altar of the Lord vnto this day, in the place which he should chuse.
6So they came vnto Ioshua into the hoste to Gilgal, and said vnto him, and vnto the men of Israel, Wee be come from a farre countrey: nowe therefore make a league with vs.
21Therefore will I no more cast out before them any of the nations, which Ioshua left when he dyed,
28And Ioshua the sonne of Nun the seruant of Moses one of his yong men answered & said, My lord Moses, forbid them.
