Where your fathers tempted me, proued me, though they had seene my worke.

Num 14:22 : 22 For all those men which haue seene my glory, and my miracles which I did in Egypt, and in the wildernes, and haue tempted me this ten times, and haue not obeyed my voyce,
1 Cor 10:9 : 9 Neither let vs tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted him, and were destroyed of serpents.
Ps 78:56 : 56 Yet they tempted, and prouoked the most high God, and kept not his testimonies,
Matt 11:20-22 : 20 Then began he to vpbraide the cities, wherein most of his great workes were done, because they repented not. 21 Woe be to thee, Chorazin: Woe be to thee, Bethsaida: for if ye great workes, which were done in you, had bene done in Tyrus and Sidon, they had repented long agone in sackecloth and ashes. 22 But I say to you, It shalbe easier for Tyrus and Sidon at the day of iudgement, then for you.
