Og Herren kalte på Moses og talte til ham fra møteteltet og sa:

And the LORD cald unto Moses, and spake unto him out of the tabernac of the congregation, saying,

Tal til Israels barn og si til dem: Når noen av dere vil bringe en offergave til Herren, skal dere bringe offeret fra buskapen, enten fra storfe eller småfe.

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man of you bring an offering unto the LORD, ye shall bring your offering of the catt, even of the herd, and of the flock.

Dersom hans offer er et brennoffer av storfeet, skal han offre en hann uten lyte; han skal ofre det frivillig ved inngangen til møteteltet for Herrens ansikt.

If his offering be a burnt sacrifice of the herd, t him offer a ma without bmish: he shall offer it of his own voluntary will at the door of the tabernac of the congregation before the LORD.

Og han skal legge sin hånd på hodet til brennofferet, og det skal bli akseptert for ham for å gjøre soning for ham.

And he shall put his hand upon the head of the burnt offering; and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him.

Og han skal slakte oksen for Herrens ansikt, og Arons sønner, prestene, skal bære frem blodet og stenke blodet rundt omkring på alteret som står ved inngangen til møteteltet.

And he shall kill the bullock before the LORD: and the priests, Aaron's sons, shall bring the blood, and sprink the blood round about upon the altar that is by the door of the tabernac of the congregation.

Og han skal flå brennofferet og dele det i stykker.

And he shall flay the burnt offering, and cut it into his pieces.

Og Arons sønner, prestene, skal legge ild på alteret og legge veden i orden på ilden.

And the sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire upon the altar, and lay the wood in order upon the fire:

Og prestene, Arons sønner, skal legge delene, hodet og fettet, i orden på veden som ligger på ilden på alteret.

And the priests, Aaron's sons, shall lay the parts, the head, and the fat, in order upon the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar:

Men innvollene og bena skal han vaske med vann, og presten skal la alt brenne på alteret, det er et brennoffer, et ildoffer av en behagelig duft for Herren.

But his inwards and his gs shall he wash in water: and the priest shall burn all on the altar, to be a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.

Og dersom hans offer er fra småfeet, enten fra sauene eller geitene, til et brennoffer, skal han bringe en hann uten lyte.

And if his offering be of the flocks, namely, of the sheep, or of the goats, for a burnt sacrifice; he shall bring it a ma without bmish.

Han skal slakte det på nordre siden av alteret for Herrens ansikt, og Arons sønner, prestene, skal stenke blodet rundt omkring på alteret.

And he shall kill it on the side of the altar northward before the LORD: and the priests, Aaron's sons, shall sprink his blood round about upon the altar.

Og han skal dele det i stykker, med hodet og fettet, og presten skal legge dem i orden på veden som ligger på ilden på alteret.

And he shall cut it into his pieces, with his head and his fat: and the priest shall lay them in order on the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar:

Men innvollene og bena skal han vaske med vann, og presten skal bære frem alt og la det brenne på alteret. Det er et brennoffer, et ildoffer av en behagelig duft for Herren.

But he shall wash the inwards and the gs with water: and the priest shall bring it all, and burn it upon the altar: it is a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.

Og dersom brennofferet som han ofrer til Herren er av fugler, skal han bringe det som en offergave av turtelduer eller unge duer.

And if the burnt sacrifice for his offering to the LORD be of fowls, then he shall bring his offering of turtdoves, or of young pigeons.

Og presten skal bringe det til alteret og vri av hodet og brenne det på alteret, og blodet skal presses ut på siden av alteret.

And the priest shall bring it unto the altar, and wring off his head, and burn it on the altar; and the blood thereof shall be wrung out at the side of the altar:

Og han skal fjerne kroen med de tilhørende fjærene og kaste det ved siden av alteret, mot øst, der hvor askebunken er.

And he shall pluck away his crop with his feathers, and cast it beside the altar on the east part, by the place of the ashes:

Og han skal dele det fra vingene, men ikke dele det helt fra hverandre, og presten skal brenne det på alteret, på veden som er på ilden. Det er et brennoffer, et ildoffer av en behagelig duft for Herren.

And he shall cave it with the wings thereof, but shall not divide it asunder: and the priest shall burn it upon the altar, upon the wood that is upon the fire: it is a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.
