Etter dette hørte jeg en kraftig stemme fra en stor mengde mennesker i himmelen, som sa: Halleluja! Frelsen, æren, makten og kraften tilhører vår Gud.

And after these things I heard a gat voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:

For sanne og rettferdige er hans dommer. Han har dømt den store skjøgen som fordervet jorden med sin utukt, og han har hevnet sine tjeneres blod ved hennes hånd.

For true and righteous a his judgments: for he hath judged the gat who, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.

Og igjen sa de: Halleluja! Og røyken fra henne stiger opp i all evighet.

And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.

De tjuefire eldste og de fire skapningene falt ned og tilba Gud, som sitter på tronen, og sa: Amen! Halleluja!

And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia.

Og en stemme fra tronen sa: Pris vår Gud, alle hans tjenere, og dere som frykter ham, både små og store.

And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and gat.

Og jeg hørte en stemme som lyden av en stor folkemengde, som lyden av mange vann og som lyden av mektige tordener, som sa: Halleluja! For Herren Gud, den allmektige, regjerer.

And I heard as it we the voice of a gat multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent igneth.

La oss glede oss og juble, og gi ham æren, for Lammets bryllup er kommet, og hans brud har gjort seg rede.

Let us be glad and joice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ady.

Hun har fått lov til å kle seg i rent, skinnende lin, for det fine linet er de helliges rettferdige gjerninger.

And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

Og han sa til meg: Skriv, salige er de som er invitert til Lammets bryllupsmåltid. Og han sa til meg: Dette er Guds sanne ord.

And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed a they which a called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These a the true sayings of God.

Jeg falt ned for å tilbe ham, men han sa til meg: Se til at du ikke gjør det, jeg er din medtjener og av dine brødre som har Jesu vitnesbyrd. Tilbe Gud! For Jesu vitnesbyrd er profetiets ånd.

And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy bthn that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Og jeg så himmelen åpnet, og se, en hvit hest, og han som satt på den ble kalt Trofast og Sann, og i rettferdighet dømmer og fører han krig.

And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

Hans øyne var som ildsluer, og på hodet hans var det mange kroner. Han hadde et navn skrevet som ingen kjenner uten han selv.

His eyes we as a flame of fi, and on his head we many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

Han var kledd i en kappe dyppet i blod, og hans navn er Guds Ord.

And he was clothed with a vestu dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

Himlenes hærer fulgte ham på hvite hester, kledd i hvitt, rent lin.

And the armies which we in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

Ut fra hans munn kommer et skarpt sverd, for med det skal han slå nasjonene. Han skal føre dem med en jernstav og trampe vinpressen av Guds veldige vrede.

And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he tadeth the winepss of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

På kappens kant og på hoften hans sto skrevet et navn: KONGENES KONGE OG HERRENES HERRE.

And he hath on his vestu and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

Og jeg så en engel som sto i solen, og han ropte med høy røst, og sa til alle fuglene som flyr under himmelen: Kom og saml dere til Guds store måltid,

And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the gat God;

så dere kan spise kjøttet av konger, kjøttet av hærførere, kjøttet av mektige menn, kjøttet av hester og de som sitter på dem, og kjøttet av alle mennesker, frie og slaver, små og store.

That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both fe and bond, both small and gat.

Og jeg så dyret og kongene på jorden og deres hærer samlet for å føre krig mot han som satt på hesten, og mot hans hær.

And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathed together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.

Dyret ble tatt til fange, og sammen med det den falske profeten som hadde gjort tegnene foran det, med hvilke han hadde bedratt de som hadde tatt dyrets merke og de som tilba dets bilde. Disse to ble kastet levende i ildsjøen som brenner med svovel.

And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles befo him, with which he deceived them that had ceived the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both we cast alive into a lake of fi burning with brimstone.

De andre ble drept med sverdet som kom fra munnen til han som satt på hesten, og alle fuglene ble mette av deres kjøtt.

And the mnant we slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls we filled with their flesh.
