They answered{H6032}{(H8750)} and said{H560}{(H8750)} unto the king{H4430}, True{H3330}, O king{H4430}. 25 He answered{H6032}{(H8750)} and said{H560}{(H8750)}, Lo{H1888}, I{H576} see{H2370}{(H8751)} four{H703} men{H1400} loose{H8271}{(H8750)}, walking{H1981}{(H8683)} in the midst{H1459} of the fire{H5135}, and they have{H383} no{H3809} hurt{H2257}; and the form{H7299} of the fourth{H7244} is like{H1821}{(H8751)} the Son{H1247} of God{H426}. 26 Then{H116} Nebuchadnezzar{H5020} came near{H7127}{(H8754)} to the mouth{H8651} of the burning{H3345}{(H8751)} fiery{H5135} furnace{H861}, and spake{H6032}{(H8750)}, and said{H560}{(H8750)}, Shadrach{H7715}, Meshach{H4336}, and Abednego{H5665}, ye servants{H5649} of the most high{H5943} God{H426}, come forth{H5312}{(H8747)}, and come{H858}{(H8747)} hither. Then{H116} Shadrach{H7715}, Meshach{H4336}, and Abednego{H5665}, came forth{H5312}{(H8750)} of{H4481} the midst{H1459} of the fire{H5135}. 27 And the princes{H324}, governors{H5460}, and captains{H6347}, and the king's{H4430} counsellors{H1907}, being gathered together{H3673}{(H8723)}, saw{H2370}{(H8751)} these{H479} men{H1400}, upon whose bodies{H1655} the fire{H5135} had no{H3809} power{H7981}{(H8754)}, nor{H3809} was an hair{H8177} of their head{H7217} singed{H2761}{(H8724)}, neither{H3809} were their coats{H5622} changed{H8133}{(H8754)}, nor{H3809} the smell{H7382} of fire{H5135} had passed{H5709}{(H8754)} on them. 28 Then Nebuchadnezzar{H5020} spake{H6032}{(H8750)}, and said{H560}{(H8750)}, Blessed{H1289}{(H8752)} be the God{H426} of Shadrach{H7715}, Meshach{H4336}, and Abednego{H5665}, who hath sent{H7972}{(H8754)} his angel{H4398}, and delivered{H7804}{(H8758)} his servants{H5649} that trusted{H7365}{(H8702)} in him{H5922}, and have changed{H8133}{(H8745)} the king's{H4430} word{H4406}, and yielded{H3052}{(H8754)} their bodies{H1655}, that they might not{H3809} serve{H6399}{(H8748)} nor{H3809} worship{H5457}{(H8748)} any{H3606} god{H426}, except{H3861} their own God{H426}.
- 2 Cor 12:9-9 : 9 And{G2532} he said{G2046}{(G5758)} unto me{G3427}, My{G3450} grace{G5485} is sufficient{G714}{(G5719)} for thee{G4671}: for{G1063} my{G3450} strength{G1411} is made perfect{G5048}{(G5743)} in{G1722} weakness{G769}. Most gladly{G2236} therefore{G3767} will I{G2744} rather{G3123} glory{G2744}{(G5695)} in{G1722} my{G3450} infirmities{G769}, that{G2443} the power{G1411} of Christ{G5547} may rest{G1981}{(G5661)} upon{G1909} me{G1691}. 10 Therefore{G1352} I take pleasure{G2106}{(G5719)} in{G1722} infirmities{G769}, in{G1722} reproaches{G5196}, in{G1722} necessities{G318}, in{G1722} persecutions{G1375}, in{G1722} distresses{G4730} for{G5228} Christ's{G5547} sake{G5228}: for{G1063} when{G3752} I am weak{G770}{(G5725)}, then{G5119} am{G1510}{(G5748)} I strong{G1415}.
- 1 Pet 4:12 : 12 Beloved{G27}, think it{G3579} not{G3361} strange{G3579}{(G5744)} concerning the{G5213} fiery trial{G4451} which{G1722} is{G1096}{(G5740)} to{G4314} try{G3986} you{G5213}, as{G5613} though some strange thing{G3581} happened{G4819}{(G5723)} unto you{G5213}:
- 2 Kgs 20:7-9 : 7 And Isaiah{H3470} said{H559}{(H8799)}, Take{H3947}{(H8798)} a lump{H1690} of figs{H8384}. And they took{H3947}{(H8799)} and laid{H7760}{(H8799)} it on the boil{H7822}, and he recovered{H2421}{(H8799)}. 8 And Hezekiah{H2396} said{H559}{(H8799)} unto Isaiah{H3470}, What shall be the sign{H226} that the LORD{H3068} will heal{H7495}{(H8799)} me, and that I shall go up{H5927}{(H8804)} into the house{H1004} of the LORD{H3068} the third{H7992} day{H3117}? 9 And Isaiah{H3470} said{H559}{(H8799)}, This sign{H226} shalt thou have of the LORD{H3068}, that the LORD{H3068} will do{H6213}{(H8799)} the thing{H1697} that he hath spoken{H1696}{(H8765)}: shall the shadow{H6738} go forward{H1980}{(H8804)} ten{H6235} degrees{H4609}, or go back{H7725}{(H8799)} ten{H6235} degrees{H4609}? 10 And Hezekiah{H3169} answered{H559}{(H8799)}, It is a light thing{H7043}{(H8738)} for the shadow{H6738} to go down{H5186}{(H8800)} ten{H6235} degrees{H4609}: nay, but let the shadow{H6738} return{H7725}{(H8799)} backward{H322} ten{H6235} degrees{H4609}. 11 And Isaiah{H3470} the prophet{H5030} cried{H7121}{(H8799)} unto the LORD{H3068}: and he brought{H7725}{(H8686)} the shadow{H6738} ten{H6235} degrees{H4609} backward{H322}, by{H4609} which it had gone down{H3381}{(H8804)} in the dial{H4609} of Ahaz{H271}.
- 2 Chr 14:11-14 : 11 And Asa{H609} cried{H7121}{(H8799)} unto the LORD{H3068} his God{H430}, and said{H559}{(H8799)}, LORD{H3068}, it is nothing with thee to help{H5826}{(H8800)}, whether{H996} with many{H7227}, or with them that have no power{H3581}: help{H5826}{(H8798)} us, O LORD{H3068} our God{H430}; for we rest{H8172}{(H8738)} on thee, and in thy name{H8034} we go{H935}{(H8804)} against this multitude{H1995}. O LORD{H3068}, thou art our God{H430}; let not man{H582} prevail{H6113}{(H8799)} against thee. 12 So the LORD{H3068} smote{H5062}{(H8799)} the Ethiopians{H3569} before{H6440} Asa{H609}, and before{H6440} Judah{H3063}; and the Ethiopians{H3569} fled{H5127}{(H8799)}. 13 And Asa{H609} and the people{H5971} that were with him pursued{H7291}{(H8799)} them unto Gerar{H1642}: and the Ethiopians{H3569} were overthrown{H5307}{(H8799)}, that they could not recover{H4241} themselves; for they were destroyed{H7665}{(H8738)} before{H6440} the LORD{H3068}, and before{H6440} his host{H4264}; and they carried away{H5375}{(H8799)} very{H3966} much{H7235}{(H8687)} spoil{H7998}. 14 And they smote{H5221}{(H8686)} all the cities{H5892} round about{H5439} Gerar{H1642}; for the fear{H6343} of the LORD{H3068} came upon them: and they spoiled{H962}{(H8799)} all the cities{H5892}; for there was exceeding much{H7227} spoil{H961} in them.
- 2 Chr 16:1-9 : 1 In the six{H8337} and thirtieth{H7970} year{H8141} of the reign{H4438} of Asa{H609} Baasha{H1201} king{H4428} of Israel{H3478} came up{H5927}{(H8804)} against Judah{H3063}, and built{H1129}{(H8799)} Ramah{H7414}, to the intent that{H1115} he might let{H5414}{(H8800)} none go out{H3318}{(H8802)} or come in{H935}{(H8802)} to Asa{H609} king{H4428} of Judah{H3063}. 2 Then Asa{H609} brought out{H3318}{(H8686)} silver{H3701} and gold{H2091} out of the treasures{H214} of the house{H1004} of the LORD{H3068} and of the king's{H4428} house{H1004}, and sent{H7971}{(H8799)} to Benhadad{H1130} king{H4428} of Syria{H758}, that dwelt{H3427}{(H8802)} at Damascus{H1834}, saying{H559}{(H8800)}, 3 There is a league{H1285} between me and thee, as there was between my father{H1} and thy father{H1}: behold, I have sent{H7971}{(H8804)} thee silver{H3701} and gold{H2091}; go{H3212}{(H8798)}, break{H6565}{(H8685)} thy league{H1285} with Baasha{H1201} king{H4428} of Israel{H3478}, that he may depart{H5927}{(H8799)} from me. 4 And Benhadad{H1130} hearkened{H8085}{(H8799)} unto king{H4428} Asa{H609}, and sent{H7971}{(H8799)} the captains{H8269} of his armies{H2428} against the cities{H5892} of Israel{H3478}; and they smote{H5221}{(H8686)} Ijon{H5859}, and Dan{H1835}, and Abelmaim{H66}, and all the store{H4543} cities{H5892} of Naphtali{H5321}. 5 And it came to pass, when Baasha{H1201} heard{H8085}{(H8800)} it, that he left off{H2308}{(H8799)} building{H1129}{(H8800)} of Ramah{H7414}, and let his work{H4399} cease{H7673}{(H8686)}. 6 Then Asa{H609} the king{H4428} took{H3947}{(H8804)} all Judah{H3063}; and they carried away{H5375}{(H8799)} the stones{H68} of Ramah{H7414}, and the timber{H6086} thereof, wherewith Baasha{H1201} was building{H1129}{(H8804)}; and he built{H1129}{(H8799)} therewith Geba{H1387} and Mizpah{H4709}. 7 And at that time{H6256} Hanani{H2607} the seer{H7200}{(H8802)} came{H935}{(H8804)} to Asa{H609} king{H4428} of Judah{H3063}, and said{H559}{(H8799)} unto him, Because thou hast relied{H8172}{(H8736)} on the king{H4428} of Syria{H758}, and not relied{H8172}{(H8738)} on the LORD{H3068} thy God{H430}, therefore is the host{H2428} of the king{H4428} of Syria{H758} escaped{H4422}{(H8738)} out of thine hand{H3027}. 8 Were not the Ethiopians{H3569} and the Lubims{H3864} a huge{H7230} host{H2428}, with very{H3966} many{H7235}{(H8687)} chariots{H7393} and horsemen{H6571}? yet, because thou didst rely{H8172}{(H8736)} on the LORD{H3068}, he delivered{H5414}{(H8804)} them into thine hand{H3027}. 9 For the eyes{H5869} of the LORD{H3068} run to and fro{H7751}{(H8789)} throughout the whole earth{H776}, to shew himself strong{H2388}{(H8692)} in the behalf of them whose heart{H3824} is perfect{H8003} toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly{H5528}{(H8738)}: therefore from henceforth{H6258} thou shalt have{H3426} wars{H4421}.
- 2 Chr 20:6-9 : 6 And said{H559}{(H8799)}, O LORD{H3068} God{H430} of our fathers{H1}, art not thou God{H430} in heaven{H8064}? and rulest{H4910}{(H8802)} not thou over all the kingdoms{H4467} of the heathen{H1471}? and in thine hand{H3027} is there not power{H3581} and might{H1369}, so that none is able to withstand{H3320}{(H8692)} thee? 7 Art not thou our God{H430}, who didst drive out{H3423}{(H8689)} the inhabitants{H3427}{(H8802)} of this land{H776} before{H6440} thy people{H5971} Israel{H3478}, and gavest{H5414}{(H8799)} it to the seed{H2233} of Abraham{H85} thy friend{H157}{(H8802)} for ever{H5769}? 8 And they dwelt{H3427}{(H8799)} therein, and have built{H1129}{(H8799)} thee a sanctuary{H4720} therein for thy name{H8034}, saying{H559}{(H8800)}, 9 If, when evil{H7451} cometh{H935}{(H8799)} upon us, as the sword{H2719}, judgment{H8196}, or pestilence{H1698}, or famine{H7458}, we stand{H5975}{(H8799)} before{H6440} this house{H1004}, and in thy presence{H6440},(for thy name{H8034} is in this house{H1004},) and cry{H2199}{(H8799)} unto thee in our affliction{H6869}, then thou wilt hear{H8085}{(H8799)} and help{H3467}{(H8686)}. 10 And now, behold, the children{H1121} of Ammon{H5983} and Moab{H4124} and mount{H2022} Seir{H8165}, whom thou wouldest not let{H5414}{(H8804)} Israel{H3478} invade{H935}{(H8800)}, when they came out{H935}{(H8800)} of the land{H776} of Egypt{H4714}, but they turned{H5493}{(H8804)} from them, and destroyed{H8045}{(H8689)} them not; 11 Behold, I say, how they reward{H1580}{(H8802)} us, to come{H935}{(H8800)} to cast us out{H1644}{(H8763)} of thy possession{H3425}, which thou hast given us to inherit{H3423}{(H8689)}. 12 O our God{H430}, wilt thou not judge{H8199}{(H8799)} them? for we have no might{H3581} against{H6440} this great{H7227} company{H1995} that cometh{H935}{(H8802)} against us; neither know{H3045}{(H8799)} we{H587} what to do{H6213}{(H8799)}: but our eyes{H5869} are upon thee. 13 And all Judah{H3063} stood{H5975}{(H8802)} before{H6440} the LORD{H3068}, with{H1571} their little ones{H2945}, their wives{H802}, and their children{H1121}. 14 Then upon Jahaziel{H3166} the son{H1121} of Zechariah{H2148}, the son{H1121} of Benaiah{H1141}, the son{H1121} of Jeiel{H3273}, the son{H1121} of Mattaniah{H4983}, a Levite{H3881} of the sons{H1121} of Asaph{H623}, came the Spirit{H7307} of the LORD{H3068} in the midst{H8432} of the congregation{H6951}; 15 And he said{H559}{(H8799)}, Hearken{H7181}{(H8685)} ye, all Judah{H3063}, and ye inhabitants{H3427}{(H8802)} of Jerusalem{H3389}, and thou king{H4428} Jehoshaphat{H3092}, Thus saith{H559}{(H8804)} the LORD{H3068} unto you, Be not afraid{H3372}{(H8799)} nor dismayed{H2865}{(H8735)} by reason{H6440} of this great{H7227} multitude{H1995}; for the battle{H4421} is not yours, but God's{H430}. 16 To morrow{H4279} go ye down{H3381}{(H8798)} against them: behold, they come up{H5927}{(H8802)} by the cliff{H4608} of Ziz{H6732}; and ye shall find{H4672}{(H8804)} them at the end{H5490} of the brook{H5158}, before{H6440} the wilderness{H4057} of Jeruel{H3385}. 17 Ye shall not need to fight{H3898}{(H8736)} in this{H2063} battle: set{H3320}{(H8690)} yourselves, stand{H5975}{(H8798)} ye still, and see{H7200}{(H8798)} the salvation{H3444} of the LORD{H3068} with you, O Judah{H3063} and Jerusalem{H3389}: fear{H3372}{(H8799)} not, nor be dismayed{H2865}{(H8735)}; to morrow{H4279} go out{H3318}{(H8798)} against{H6440} them: for the LORD{H3068} will be with you. 18 And Jehoshaphat{H3092} bowed{H6915}{(H8799)} his head with his face{H639} to the ground{H776}: and all Judah{H3063} and the inhabitants{H3427}{(H8802)} of Jerusalem{H3389} fell{H5307}{(H8804)} before{H6440} the LORD{H3068}, worshipping{H7812}{(H8692)} the LORD{H3068}. 19 And the Levites{H3881}, of the children{H1121} of the Kohathites{H6956}, and of the children{H1121} of the Korhites{H7145}, stood up{H6965}{(H8799)} to praise{H1984}{(H8763)} the LORD{H3068} God{H430} of Israel{H3478} with a loud{H1419} voice{H6963} on high{H4605}. 20 And they rose early{H7925}{(H8686)} in the morning{H1242}, and went forth{H3318}{(H8799)} into the wilderness{H4057} of Tekoa{H8620}: and as they went forth{H3318}{(H8800)}, Jehoshaphat{H3092} stood{H5975}{(H8804)} and said{H559}{(H8799)}, Hear{H8085}{(H8798)} me, O Judah{H3063}, and ye inhabitants{H3427}{(H8802)} of Jerusalem{H3389}; Believe{H539}{(H8685)} in the LORD{H3068} your God{H430}, so shall ye be established{H539}{(H8735)}; believe{H539}{(H8685)} his prophets{H5030}, so shall ye prosper{H6743}{(H8685)}. 21 And when he had consulted{H3289}{(H8735)} with the people{H5971}, he appointed{H5975}{(H8686)} singers{H7891}{(H8789)} unto the LORD{H3068}, and that should praise{H1984}{(H8764)} the beauty{H1927} of holiness{H6944}, as they went out{H3318}{(H8800)} before{H6440} the army{H2502}{(H8803)}, and to say{H559}{(H8802)}, Praise{H3034}{(H8685)} the LORD{H3068}; for his mercy{H2617} endureth for ever{H5769}. 22 And when{H6256} they began{H2490}{(H8689)} to sing{H7440} and to praise{H8416}, the LORD{H3068} set{H5414}{(H8804)} ambushments{H693}{(H8764)} against the children{H1121} of Ammon{H5983}, Moab{H4124}, and mount{H2022} Seir{H8165}, which were come{H935}{(H8802)} against Judah{H3063}; and they were smitten{H5062}{(H8735)}. 23 For the children{H1121} of Ammon{H5983} and Moab{H4124} stood up{H5975}{(H8799)} against the inhabitants{H3427}{(H8802)} of mount{H2022} Seir{H8165}, utterly to slay{H2763}{(H8687)} and destroy{H8045}{(H8687)} them: and when they had made an end{H3615}{(H8763)} of the inhabitants{H3427}{(H8802)} of Seir{H8165}, every one{H376} helped{H5826}{(H8804)} to destroy{H4889} another{H7453}. 24 And when Judah{H3063} came{H935}{(H8804)} toward the watch tower{H4707}{(H8677)}{H4708} in the wilderness{H4057}, they looked{H6437}{(H8799)} unto the multitude{H1995}, and, behold, they were dead bodies{H6297} fallen{H5307}{(H8802)} to the earth{H776}, and none escaped{H6413}. 25 And when Jehoshaphat{H3092} and his people{H5971} came{H935}{(H8799)} to take away{H962}{(H8800)} the spoil{H7998} of them, they found{H4672}{(H8799)} among them in abundance{H7230} both riches{H7399} with the dead bodies{H6297}, and precious{H2532} jewels{H3627}, which they stripped off{H5337}{(H8762)} for themselves, more than{H369} they could carry away{H4853}: and they were three{H7969} days{H3117} in gathering{H962}{(H8802)} of the spoil{H7998}, it was so much{H7227}.
- 2 Chr 32:20-22 : 20 And for this cause Hezekiah{H3169} the king{H4428}, and the prophet{H5030} Isaiah{H3470} the son{H1121} of Amoz{H531}, prayed{H6419}{(H8691)} and cried{H2199}{(H8799)} to heaven{H8064}. 21 And the LORD{H3068} sent{H7971}{(H8799)} an angel{H4397}, which cut off{H3582}{(H8686)} all the mighty men{H1368} of valour{H2428}, and the leaders{H5057} and captains{H8269} in the camp{H4264} of the king{H4428} of Assyria{H804}. So he returned{H7725}{(H8799)} with shame{H1322} of face{H6440} to his own land{H776}. And when he was come{H935}{(H8799)} into the house{H1004} of his god{H430}, they that came forth{H3329} of his own bowels{H4578} slew{H5307}{(H8689)} him there with the sword{H2719}. 22 Thus the LORD{H3068} saved{H3467}{(H8686)} Hezekiah{H3169} and the inhabitants{H3427}{(H8802)} of Jerusalem{H3389} from the hand{H3027} of Sennacherib{H5576} the king{H4428} of Assyria{H804}, and from the hand{H3027} of all other, and guided{H5095}{(H8762)} them on every side{H5439}.
- Job 5:20 : 20 In famine{H7458} he shall redeem{H6299}{(H8804)} thee from death{H4194}: and in war{H4421} from the power{H3027} of the sword{H2719}.
- Job 42:10 : 10 And the LORD{H3068} turned{H7725}{(H8804)} the captivity{H7622}{(H8675)}{H7622} of Job{H347}, when he prayed{H6419}{(H8692)} for his friends{H7453}: also the LORD{H3068} gave{H3254}{(H8686)} Job{H347} twice as much{H4932} as he had before.
- Ps 6:8 : 8 Depart{H5493}{(H8798)} from me, all ye workers{H6466}{(H8802)} of iniquity{H205}; for the LORD{H3068} hath heard{H8085}{(H8804)} the voice{H6963} of my weeping{H1065}.
- Ps 66:12 : 12 Thou hast caused men{H582} to ride{H7392}{H8689)} over our heads{H7218}; we went{H935}{H8804)} through fire{H784} and through water{H4325}: but thou broughtest us out{H3318}{H8686)} into a wealthy{H7310} place.
- Judg 15:14-20 : 14 And when he came{H935}{(H8804)} unto Lehi{H3896}, the Philistines{H6430} shouted{H7321}{(H8689)} against{H7125}{(H8800)} him: and the Spirit{H7307} of the LORD{H3068} came mightily{H6743}{(H8799)} upon him, and the cords{H5688} that were upon his arms{H2220} became as flax{H6593} that was burnt{H1197}{(H8804)} with fire{H784}, and his bands{H612} loosed{H4549}{(H8735)} from off his hands{H3027}. 15 And he found{H4672}{(H8799)} a new{H2961} jawbone{H3895} of an ass{H2543}, and put forth{H7971}{(H8799)} his hand{H3027}, and took{H3947}{(H8799)} it, and slew{H5221}{(H8686)} a thousand{H505} men{H376} therewith. 16 And Samson{H8123} said{H559}{(H8799)}, With the jawbone{H3895} of an ass{H2543}, heaps{H2565} upon heaps{H2565}, with the jaw{H3895} of an ass{H2543} have I slain{H5221}{(H8689)} a thousand{H505} men{H376}. 17 And it came to pass, when he had made an end{H3615}{(H8763)} of speaking{H1696}{(H8763)}, that he cast away{H7993}{(H8686)} the jawbone{H3895} out of his hand{H3027}, and called{H7121}{(H8799)} that place{H4725} Ramathlehi{H7437}. 18 And he was sore{H3966} athirst{H6770}{(H8799)}, and called{H7121}{(H8799)} on the LORD{H3068}, and said{H559}{(H8799)}, Thou hast given{H5414}{(H8804)} this great{H1419} deliverance{H8668} into the hand{H3027} of thy servant{H5650}: and now shall I die{H4191}{(H8799)} for thirst{H6772}, and fall{H5307}{(H8804)} into the hand{H3027} of the uncircumcised{H6189}? 19 But God{H430} clave{H1234}{(H8799)} an hollow place{H4388} that was in the jaw{H3895}, and there came{H3318}{(H8799)} water{H4325} thereout; and when he had drunk{H8354}{(H8799)}, his spirit{H7307} came again{H7725}{(H8799)}, and he revived{H2421}{(H8799)}: wherefore he called{H7121}{(H8802)} the name{H8034} thereof Enhakkore{H5875}, which is in Lehi{H3896} unto this day{H3117}. 20 And he judged{H8199}{(H8799)} Israel{H3478} in the days{H3117} of the Philistines{H6430} twenty{H6242} years{H8141}.
- Judg 16:19-30 : 19 And she made him sleep{H3462}{(H8762)} upon her knees{H1290}; and she called{H7121}{(H8799)} for a man{H376}, and she caused him to shave off{H1548}{(H8762)} the seven{H7651} locks{H4253} of his head{H7218}; and she began{H2490}{(H8686)} to afflict{H6031}{(H8763)} him, and his strength{H3581} went{H5493}{(H8799)} from him. 20 And she said{H559}{(H8799)}, The Philistines{H6430} be upon thee, Samson{H8123}. And he awoke{H3364}{(H8799)} out of his sleep{H8142}, and said{H559}{(H8799)}, I will go out{H3318}{(H8799)} as at other times before{H6471}, and shake{H5287}{(H8735)} myself. And he wist{H3045}{(H8804)} not that the LORD{H3068} was departed{H5493}{(H8804)} from him. 21 But the Philistines{H6430} took{H270}{(H8799)} him, and put out{H5365}{(H8762)} his eyes{H5869}, and brought him down{H3381}{(H8686)} to Gaza{H5804}, and bound{H631}{(H8799)} him with fetters of brass{H5178}; and he did grind{H2912}{(H8802)} in the prison{H631}{(H8803)} house{H1004}. 22 Howbeit the hair{H8181} of his head{H7218} began{H2490}{(H8686)} to grow again{H6779}{(H8763)} after{H834} he was shaven{H1548}{(H8795)}. 23 Then the lords{H5633} of the Philistines{H6430} gathered them together{H622}{(H8738)} for to offer{H2076}{(H8800)} a great{H1419} sacrifice{H2077} unto Dagon{H1712} their god{H430}, and to rejoice{H8057}: for they said{H559}{(H8799)}, Our god{H430} hath delivered{H5414}{(H8804)} Samson{H8123} our enemy{H341}{(H8802)} into our hand{H3027}. 24 And when the people{H5971} saw{H7200}{(H8799)} him, they praised{H1984}{(H8762)} their god{H430}: for they said{H559}{(H8804)}, Our god{H430} hath delivered{H5414}{(H8804)} into our hands{H3027} our enemy{H341}{(H8802)}, and the destroyer{H2717}{(H8688)} of our country{H776}, which slew{H2491} many{H7235}{(H8689)} of us. 25 And it came to pass, when their hearts{H3820} were merry{H2896}, that they said{H559}{(H8799)}, Call{H7121}{(H8798)} for Samson{H8123}, that he may make us sport{H7832}{(H8762)}. And they called{H7121}{(H8799)} for Samson{H8123} out of the prison{H631}{(H8803)} house{H1004}; and he made them{H6440} sport{H6711}{(H8762)}: and they set{H5975}{(H8686)} him between the pillars{H5982}. 26 And Samson{H8123} said{H559}{(H8799)} unto the lad{H5288} that held{H2388}{(H8688)} him by the hand{H3027}, Suffer{H3240}{(H8685)} me that I may feel{H4184}{(H8685)}{(H8675)}{H3237}{(H8685)} the pillars{H5982} whereupon the house{H1004} standeth{H3559}{(H8737)}, that I may lean{H8172}{(H8735)} upon them. 27 Now the house{H1004} was full{H4390}{(H8804)} of men{H582} and women{H802}; and all the lords{H5633} of the Philistines{H6430} were there; and there were upon the roof{H1406} about three{H7969} thousand{H505} men{H376} and women{H802}, that beheld{H7200}{(H8802)} while Samson{H8123} made sport{H7832}{(H8800)}. 28 And Samson{H8123} called{H7121}{(H8799)} unto the LORD{H3068}, and said{H559}{(H8799)}, O Lord{H136} GOD{H3069}, remember{H2142}{(H8798)} me, I pray thee, and strengthen{H2388}{(H8761)} me, I pray thee, only this once{H6471}, O God{H430}, that I may be at once{H259} avenged{H5358}{(H8735)}{H5359} of the Philistines{H6430} for my two{H8147} eyes{H5869}. 29 And Samson{H8123} took hold{H3943}{(H8799)} of the two{H8147} middle{H8432} pillars{H5982} upon which the house{H1004} stood{H3559}{(H8737)}, and on which it was borne up{H5564}{(H8735)}, of the one{H259} with his right hand{H3225}, and of the other{H259} with his left{H8040}. 30 And Samson{H8123} said{H559}{(H8799)}, Let me die{H4191}{(H8799)}{H5315} with the Philistines{H6430}. And he bowed{H5186}{(H8799)} himself with all his might{H3581}; and the house{H1004} fell{H5307}{(H8799)} upon the lords{H5633}, and upon all the people{H5971} that were therein. So the dead{H4191}{(H8801)} which he slew{H4191}{(H8689)} at his death{H4194} were more{H7227} than they which he slew{H4191}{(H8689)} in his life{H2416}.
