30So Joab and Abishai his brother killed Abner because he had killed their brother Asahel at Gibeon in the battle.
31And David said to Joab and to all the people who were with him, Tear your clothes and gird yourselves with sackcloth, and mourn before Abner. And King David himself followed the bier.
21And Ahithophel said to Absalom, Go in to your father's concubines, whom he has left to keep the house; and all Israel shall hear that you are abhorred by your father: then shall the hands of all who are with you be strong.
22So they spread Absalom a tent upon the top of the house; and Absalom went in to his father's concubines in the sight of all Israel.

24Then Joab came to the king and said, What have you done? Behold, Abner came to you; why is it that you have sent him away, and he is quite gone?
25You know Abner the son of Ner, that he came to deceive you, and to know your going out and your coming in, and to know all that you do.
26And when Joab had gone out from David, he sent messengers after Abner, who brought him back from the well of Sirah; but David did not know it.
29And the name of the wife of Abishur was Abihail, and she bore him Ahban and Molid.

30Then Saul's anger was kindled against Jonathan, and he said to him, You son of a perverse rebellious woman, do I not know that you have chosen the son of Jesse to your own confusion, and to the confusion of your mother's nakedness?
17And Saul said to David, Behold my elder daughter Merab, her will I give you as your wife: only be valiant for me, and fight the LORD'S battles. For Saul said, Let not my hand be upon him, but let the hand of the Philistines be upon him.
21And she said, Let Abishag the Shunammite be given to Adonijah your brother as his wife.
19But it came to pass at the time when Merab, Saul's daughter, should have been given to David, that she was given to Adriel the Meholathite as a wife.
55When Saul saw David going out against the Philistine, he said to Abner, the commander of the army, Abner, whose son is this youth? Abner said, As your soul lives, O king, I do not know.
22And behold, the servants of David and Joab came from pursuing a troop, and brought in a great spoil with them. But Abner was not with David in Hebron, for he had sent him away, and he had gone in peace.

15Then there arose and went over by number twelve of Benjamin, belonging to Ishbosheth the son of Saul, and twelve of the servants of David.
