31Mark well, O Job, listen to me: hold your peace, and I will speak.

4He has said, who heard the words of God, who saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:
21For His eyes are upon the ways of man, and He sees all his goings.
3If one wishes to contend with Him, he cannot answer Him one in a thousand.
9For he has said, It profits a man nothing to delight himself in God.
10Therefore listen to me, you men of understanding: far be it from God to do wickedness, and from the Almighty to commit iniquity.
11For the work of a man shall He repay him, and cause every man to find according to his ways.
14Behold, He breaks down, and it cannot be rebuilt: He shuts up a man, and there can be no opening.
14Thus I am like a man who does not hear, and in whose mouth are no responses.
33Should it be according to your mind? He will repay it, whether you refuse or whether you choose, and not I; therefore speak what you know.
3Who is he who hides counsel without knowledge? Therefore I have uttered what I did not understand, things too wonderful for me, which I did not know.
33If not, listen to me: hold your peace, and I shall teach you wisdom.
11For He knows deceptive men; He sees wickedness also; will He not then consider it?
5God thunders marvelously with his voice; he does great things that we cannot comprehend.
20Seeing many things, but you do not observe; opening the ears, but he does not hear.
4Do you not know this of old, since man was placed on earth,
3For a dream comes through the multitude of business, and a fool's voice is known by a multitude of words.
6Yes, even if he lives a thousand years twice over, yet has seen no good: do not all go to one place?
20Only do not do two things to me, then I will not hide myself from you.
