Verse 16

Moab’s destruction is at hand. Disaster will come on it quickly.

Isa 13:22 : 22 Wild dogs will yip in her ruined fortresses, jackals will yelp in the once-splendid palaces. Her time is almost up, her days will not be prolonged.
Isa 16:13-14 : 13 This is the message the LORD previously announced about Moab. 14 Now the LORD makes this announcement:“Within exactly three years Moab’s splendor will disappear, along with all her many people; there will be just a few, insignificant survivors left.”
Jer 1:12 : 12 Then the LORD said,“You have observed correctly. This means I am watching to make sure my threats are carried out.”
Ezek 12:23 : 23 Therefore tell them,‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I hereby end this proverb; they will not recite it in Israel any longer.’ But say to them,‘The days are at hand when every vision will be fulfilled.
Ezek 12:28 : 28 Therefore say to them,‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: None of my words will be delayed any longer! The word I speak will come to pass, declares the Sovereign LORD.’”
2 Pet 2:3 : 3 And in their greed they will exploit you with deceptive words. Their condemnation pronounced long ago is not sitting idly by; their destruction is not asleep.
Deut 32:35 : 35 I will get revenge and pay them back at the time their foot slips; for the day of their disaster is near, and the impending judgment is rushing upon them!”
