Verse 16

Thus the poor have hope, and iniquity shuts its mouth.

Ps 107:42 : 42 When the godly see this, they rejoice, and every sinner shuts his mouth.
1 Sam 2:8-9 : 8 He lifts the weak from the dust; he raises the poor from the ash heap to seat them with princes– he bestows on them an honored position. The foundations of the earth belong to the LORD– he placed the world on them. 9 He watches over his holy ones, but the wicked are made speechless in the darkness, for it is not by one’s own strength that one prevails.
Ps 63:11 : 11 But the king will rejoice in God; everyone who takes oaths in his name will boast, for the mouths of those who speak lies will be shut up.
Exod 11:7 : 7 But against any of the Israelites not even a dog will bark against either people or animals, so that you may know that the LORD distinguishes between Egypt and Israel.’
Ps 9:18 : 18 for the needy are not permanently ignored, the hopes of the oppressed are not forever dashed.
Isa 14:32 : 32 How will they respond to the messengers of this nation? Indeed, the LORD has made Zion secure; the oppressed among his people will find safety in her.
Zech 9:12 : 12 Return to the stronghold, you prisoners, with hope; today I declare that I will return double what was taken from you.
