  • 4The Lord will wash away the filth of the daughters of Zion and cleanse the bloodstains of Jerusalem by a spirit of judgment and a spirit of burning.

  • 8On that day, declares the LORD of hosts, I will break the yoke off your neck and tear away your bonds. Foreigners will no longer enslave you.

  • 12Therefore because of you, Zion will be plowed like a field, Jerusalem will become a heap of ruins, and the mountain of the temple will become a high place overgrown with thickets.
