When the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought spices, that they might come and anoint him.

Tidlig om morgenen den første dagen i uken kom de til graven da solen var gått opp.

Very early on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen.

De sa til hverandre: «Hvem skal rulle steinen bort fra inngangen til graven for oss?»

They were saying among themselves, "Who will roll away the stone from the door of the tomb for us?"

For den var meget stor. Da de så opp, merket de at steinen var rullet bort.

for it was very big. Looking up, they saw that the stone was rolled back.

Da de kom inn i graven, så de en ung mann sitte på høyre side, kledd i en hvit kappe, og de ble forskrekket.

Entering into the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, dressed in a white robe, and they were amazed.

Han sa til dem: «Vær ikke forskrekket. Dere leter etter Jesus fra Nasaret, som er blitt korsfestet. Han er stått opp. Han er ikke her. Se, stedet hvor de la ham!

He said to them, "Don't be amazed. You seek Jesus, the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen. He is not here. Behold, the place where they laid him!

Men gå og si til disiplene hans og Peter: 'Han går foran dere til Galilea. Der skal dere se ham, slik han har sagt dere.'»

But go, tell his disciples and Peter, 'He goes before you into Galilee. There you will see him, as he said to you.'"

De gikk ut og flyktet bort fra graven, for de var grepet av skjelving og forundring. De sa ingenting til noen, for de var redde.

They went out,{TR adds "quickly"} and fled from the tomb, for trembling and astonishment had come on them. They said nothing to anyone; for they were afraid.

Da han var stått opp tidlig den første dagen i uken, viste han seg først for Maria Magdalena, som han hadde drevet syv demoner ut av.

Now when he had risen early on the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons.

Hun gikk og fortalte det til dem som hadde vært med ham, mens de sørget og gråt.

She went and told those who had been with him, as they mourned and wept.

Da de hørte at han var i live og at hun hadde sett ham, trodde de ikke.

When they heard that he was alive, and had been seen by her, they disbelieved.

Deretter viste han seg i en annen skikkelse for to av dem, mens de var på vei ut på landet.

After these things he was revealed in another form to two of them, as they walked, on their way into the country.

De gikk og fortalte det til de andre, men de trodde dem heller ikke.

They went away and told it to the rest. They didn't believe them, either.

Senere viste han seg for de elleve mens de satt til bords, og han irettesatte dem for deres vantro og harde hjerter, fordi de ikke hadde trodd dem som hadde sett ham etter hans oppstandelse.

Afterward he was revealed to the eleven themselves as they sat at the table, and he rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they didn't believe those who had seen him after he had risen.

Han sa til dem: «Gå ut i hele verden og forkynn evangeliet for alle skapninger.

He said to them, "Go into all the world, and preach the Gospel to the whole creation.

Den som tror og blir døpt, skal bli frelst; men den som ikke tror, skal bli fordømt.

He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who disbelieves will be condemned.

Disse tegn skal følge dem som tror: I mitt navn skal de drive ut dæmoner; de skal tale med nye tunger;

These signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new languages;

de skal ta opp slanger, og om de drikker noe dødelig, skal det ikke skade dem; de skal legge hendene på syke, og de skal bli friske.»

they will take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it will in no way hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."

Etter at Herren Jesus hadde talt til dem, ble han tatt opp til himmelen og satte seg ved Guds høyre hånd.

So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.

De gikk ut og forkynte overalt, mens Herren virket med dem og bekreftet ordet ved de tegnene som fulgte. Amen.

They went out, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word by the signs that followed. Amen.
