Verse 1
The Mighty One, God, the LORD, has spoken and summoned the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting.
The mighty God, even the LORD, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.
Verse 2
Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God has shone forth.
Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.
Verse 3
Our God will come and will not be silent; before Him is a consuming fire, and a mighty storm surrounds Him.
Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.
Verse 4
He calls to the heavens above and to the earth, that He may judge His people.
He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.
Verse 5
Gather to me my faithful ones, those who have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.
Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.
Verse 6
The heavens declare His righteousness, for God Himself is judge. Selah.
And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah.
Verse 7
Hear, my people, and I will speak; O Israel, I will testify against you: I am God, your God.
Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: I am God, even thy God.
Verse 8
Not for your sacrifices do I rebuke you; your burnt offerings are continually before me.
I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings, to have been continually before me.
Verse 9
I will not take a bull from your house, nor goats from your pens.
I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds.
Verse 10
For every beast of the forest is mine, the cattle on a thousand hills.
For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.
Verse 11
I know all the birds of the mountains, and everything that moves in the field is mine.
I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.
Verse 12
If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world and its fullness are mine.
If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof.
Verse 13
Do I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats?
Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?
Verse 14
Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and fulfill your vows to the Most High.
Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High:
Verse 15
Call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will glorify me.
And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.
Verse 16
But to the wicked God says: 'What right have you to recite my statutes or take my covenant on your lips?
But unto the wicked God saith, What hast thou to do to declare my statutes, or that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth?
Verse 17
For you hate discipline, and you cast my words behind you.
Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee.
Verse 18
When you see a thief, you join him, and you associate with adulterers.
When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers.
Verse 19
You let your mouth speak evil, and your tongue devises deceit.
Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.
Verse 20
You sit and speak against your brother; you slander your own mother's son.
Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; thou slanderest thine own mother's son.
Verse 21
These things you have done, and I kept silent; you thought I was like you. But I will rebuke you and lay the case before your eyes.
These things hast thou done, and I kept silence; thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thine eyes.
Verse 22
Consider this, you who forget God, lest I tear you apart, and there be none to deliver.
Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.
Verse 23
Whoever offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving honors me, and to the one who orders their way rightly, I will show the salvation of God.
Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the salvation of God.
