17Comfort your hearts, and establish you in every good word and work.

12And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love toward one another, and toward all people, just as we do toward you:

17But we, brothers, having been taken from you for a short time in presence, not in heart, endeavored more eagerly to see your face with great desire.
15For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not precede those who are asleep.
16For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18Therefore, comfort one another with these words.
12That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
1But concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need that I write to you.
2For you know perfectly that the day of the Lord comes as a thief in the night.

1For you yourselves, brothers, know our entrance to you, that it was not in vain:
10When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all who believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.
5For our gospel came to you not in word only, but also in power, in the Holy Spirit, and in full conviction; as you know what kind of men we were among you for your sake.
1This second letter, beloved, I now write to you; in both of which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance:
2That you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us, the apostles of the Lord and Savior:
16For we did not follow cunningly devised fables, when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
25Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
15And in this confidence, I intended to come to you before, that you might have a second benefit;
17But, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ:
30Now I urge you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that you strive together with me in your prayers to God for me,
10And to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus, who delivers us from the wrath to come.
5May the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patient waiting for Christ.
6Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw yourselves from every brother who walks disorderly and not according to the tradition which he received from us.
19But I urge you all the more to do this, that I may be restored to you sooner.
2Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
12And we urge you, brothers, to recognize those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;

1We then, as workers together with Him, urge you also not to receive the grace of God in vain.
6But now that Timothy has come to us from you, and brought us good news of your faith and love, and that you have good remembrance of us always, longing to see us, as we also to see you:
7Therefore, brothers, we were comforted concerning you in all our affliction and distress by your faith:
4But you, brothers, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
7And to you who are troubled, rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
